The space
Lodge Noir is a stylish, family-friendly cabin nestled on 3 acres with beautiful, year-round mountain views. Professionally designed, luxuriously appointed with full renovation completed in 2021. ☆ BEDROOM + BATHROOMS ☆
PRIMARY: king bed, en suite bathroom, upper level, private covered deck, large walk-in closet, 55” TV and a private sitting area.

QUEEN BEDROOMS (2): queen beds, shared hall bathroom, main level. One bedroom also has a french door out to the main deck.

CAMP ROOM: four twin beds (barracks style!) and a classic camp vibe, upper level, accessed via primary bedroom. *Note: You do have to WALK THROUGH the primary bedroom to access this bedroom, please keep this in mind!

BUNK ROOM: two bunk beds (4 total twin beds), en suite bathroom, located on the basement level. Note: basement level is further removed from the main floor and you have to walk through the movie den to access it, so we recommend this room for older kids and young, or young at heart, adults.

☆ KITCHEN + LIVING AREAS ☆
Well equipped kitchen with beautiful GE Café appliances. Open to the living area/dining area - cook, relax, and dine all together. Sink into the leather Pottery Barn sectional in front of a (wood burning) fire. Our locally crafted dining table seats eight, and there are four additional seats at the kitchen island. Or, dine al fresco. We have two picnic tables and a grill on the deck just outside the kitchen.

The LOFT is on the top level next to the Master, and is a perfect reading nook or workspace desk and extra monitor. Gaze out over the beautiful Blue Ridge mountain view while you knock out those emails!

☆ BASEMENT ☆
MOVIE DEN: furnished with "the comfiest [electric] reclining leather chairs [and couch]” and new 75” TV. Perfect for a family movie night or kicking back to watch the big game!

GAME ROOM: pool table, foosball table, games, and two TVs. Door leads out to the lower deck, hot tub, and fire pit, making this the place to hang out, day or night! Golden Tee and Pac Man next door in movie den!

☆ OUTDOOR SPACES ☆
HOT TUB: BRAND NEW 7-seat hot tub will be installed in Oct. '23!

FIRE PIT: get cozy under the bistro lights! Extendable skewers & outdoor blankets provided (bring your own firewood)!

DECKS & PORCH: sip your coffee on the front porch rocking chairs with a visit from our friendly neighborhood dog, Sydney, and perhaps some of her friends!

Three levels of decks to enjoy mountain and summer sunset views! Dine al fresco with plenty of seating on the main level deck. Walk out onto the covered lower patio to relax in the hot tub or stargaze, especially from the upper balcony deck - grab the telescope!

Note: We do not supply cable TV – there is access to streaming services via smart TVs, so please bring your own USER NAME & PASSWORDS. In other words, you log into your own accounts to watch TV. The Lodge is equipped with high-speed wireless internet which you are free to connect to with any of your devices.

ITEMS WE PROVIDE:
-paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, dish pods, laundry, detergent, coffee and creamer
-kitchen towels, pot holders and trivets, salt and pepper, cookie spray
-propane for the grill (we do our best to swap out empty tanks and provide extras, if we happen to be out of propane we will happily refund you the cost to refill it while you are in town!)
-shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, hand soap and dish soap – by our favorite, Public Goods

Please consider bringing: firewood (firepit & fireplace), cooking oils and spices, favorite coffee/cream/sweeteners (both Keurig and drip coffee appliances available) to ensure a comfortable stay.

Guest access
Guests will have access to the whole cabin and 3 acre property (except garage and locked owners' closets).

Other things to note
Additional details and rules:
-Concierge services, private chefs, in home massages, etc available upon request for additional fee
-If you stay with us during the week spring-fall, you will likely see our landscaper stop by to mow/clean up the yard (typically Wednesdays)
-No outside music or loud noise after 10 pm, please be respectful to our kind, full time resident neighbors
-House is on septic, only flush toilet paper and natural waste
-You understand that you may get a visit from the friendly neighborhood dog
-No smoking (of ANY kind) inside or on decks, you will forfeit $500 of your deposit to cover the additional cleaning fee
-AC should not be set lower than 68 degrees in the summer, setting it lower could result in the unit freezing. With such high ceilings, the upstairs will get warmer in the late afternoon. We've updated all fans through the house, please use them!
-Ensure that grill's propane tank is only on while in use. When you are finished cooking, please turn it off.
-Please only use fireplace if you are comfortable operating a wood burning fireplace (ensure flue is open and mesh curtain is closed). Do not run fireplace and AC at the same time.
-You will see bugs - leaving the windows and doors closed will help with this. You may see bears, snakes, and other wild animals outside. Wild animals can be dangerous.

As you drive in, you'll notice many conveniences, including a corner store 5 minutes away (with delicious home-made biscuits Mon-Sat), Dunkin Donuts 7 minutes away, Grocery Store 10 minutes, and Downtown Blue Ridge just 15 minutes away. If you're bringing your boat, which we should have plenty of parking for (please reach out with size of boat to confirm we have room), we're 10 minutes from 2 Lakes - Nottely Lake and Lake Blue Ridge!

We are in close proximity to so many hiking trails, waterfalls, and various adventurous activities, you'll have a hard time choosing what to do!

There is one neighborhood dog named Sydney that's very sweet and friendly and does come to visit from time to time. If you're not a dog lover, this might not be the place for you. If you're not bothered by her but want her to leave, just tell her to go home and she'll listen!

The Lodge is on a quiet neighborhood street, with most of the residents being full time, so we ask that our guests please be respectful and keep outside noise to a minimum. While we do have neighbors, it is fairly private and secluded. There is no on-street parking, but plenty of parking in either the main driveway or on the parking pad which will both be made fully available to our guests. Garage access is not available at this time.

There are many insects and reptiles native to the area, so it is possible that you will encounter bugs, snakes (not common), frogs, turtles, etc. If this is a problem for you, this may not be the place for you. While we do have pest control, they still make their presence known.
