This unique property is heavily treed providing a luscious green private escape, while also having main attractions close by for endless activities & fun all year long: Santa's Village, Muskoka Brewery, waterfalls, trails (hike/snowshoe/bike/snowmobile), golf, mini putt & more!
The space
The Paddle House was completely renovated in early 2021 to be optimized for larger groups, couples and multi-families. The cottage is perched up overlooking the waterfront and is a traditional back split design with a walkout basement and multiple outdoor areas set up for dining, lounging, and outdoor fun! While the day time view is incredible, at night you’ll feel like you’re in the mountains, with distant lights adding to the ambiance around the fire and incredible sunsets to enjoy.
The cottage has been thoughtfully designed, with paddle and blue water inspired touches. The bright & airy space will allow you to peacefully unwind as you enjoy the atmosphere both in and around the property. Freshly renovated with luxury amenities, this spacious and modern cottage has premium upgrades that provide guests with a cottage escape experience, but with the modern conveniences of a home. Perfect for couples, work retreats and family vacations to create lifelong memories!
OUTDOOR
Parking: The extra large c-shaped driveway allows for ample parking for all guests - you will never have issues parking all of your vehicles! There is a large entrance veranda where you can drop your bags and shoes as soon as you arrive.
Front Lawn: The front of the house boasts a huge grassy area, perfect for lawn games – badminton, volleyball, bocce, KanJam, corn hole and giant jenga, which are all supplied with your stay.
Waterfront: The beautiful stone steps will lead you down to the waterfront where you will find all of the water toys: floaties, kayak, canoe, and two stand up paddleboards (SUP), 4 person pedal boat and some life jackets. Enjoy the spectacular dock and stunning waterfront area with added Muskoka chairs for you to relax and soak up some Vitamin D. Our newly added and most loved feature is the lilypad - a 10 meter long floating water pad, perfect for kids to play for endless hours or for optimal adult lounging. Water off the floating dock is 9’ deep and perfect for swimming, as well as a safe swim area for young children (no wake zone for boats).
Games Room: The garage was completely renovated and converted into a games room: foosball, ping pong, air hockey, darts and a TV with an old-school inspired Nintendo and 600 games on a 50” TV. The all season games room creates the perfect entertaining space away and is a worry free zone without disturbing any young children sleeping in the main cottage.
Upper Deck Dining & Patio: A walk-out from the kitchen, the upper deck patio has a dining table & chair set up perfect to enjoy your meals outside - sunset dinners are our favourite! Weber Genesis BBQ + propane included for the grill masters.
Lower Deck Lounge Area: Features an oversized custom sectional couch, perfect for daytime lounging or relaxing in the evening for post dinner chilling and games - surrounded with string lights to create the perfect evening ambiance. The Bonfire & Muskoka chair set up is located right on the edge of the peak, providing a spectacular view of the water and a perfect place to relax for sunset, or for outdoor hangouts in the cooler months.
INDOOR
The main cottage has 5 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. There are dressers or closets in every room to make yourself right at home and store your personal belongings. Each floor has one bathroom with a tub-shower combo and premium spa-like rainfall shower fixtures. All linens, towels, soap & body wash are provided complimentary.
Bedrooms: On the main floor, you will find 3 bedrooms: king (master), double bedroom, as well as, the bunkbed room perfect for the kids (three beds: a bunk bed with a double on bottom and single up top + bottom rollaway). On the lower level, there are 2 bedrooms (both queen beds) which are rustic Canadiana themed.
Main Floor: Kitchen & Dining: Where the magic happens for the chefs & entertainers - this spectacular open concept great room features a fully equipped chef’s kitchen and dining area. The space was designed to be an entertainer’s dream! The gourmet kitchen comes with all small and large appliances needed: blender, dishware, serverware, glassware (plastic & glass). Large fridge, dishwasher, microwave, double farmhouse sink. The chefs will love preparing meals with our oversized 36” Thor gas range + oven that allows cooking on six burners and Japanese chef knives. For the coffee lovers: start your day at the coffee bar that comes fully stocked with a Nespresso machine, Smeg Coffee Machine, complimentary coffee, tea and sugar. We also have a 48 cup extra large coffee brewer in the event your group really likes their Java. The breakfast nook creates a large space for prepping meals, or to give the chefs some company while preparing family feasts. The main feature of the great room is the custom 10 foot farmhouse dining table with double benches, comfortably seating 10-12 people to gather & enjoy meals together or post dinner games night! The final touch to this magical entertaining space is the record player station. From ABBA to CCR - enjoy searching for your favourite albums, go down memory lane and dance the night away.
Lower Level - Living Space: Get cozy in the entertainment room on the large sectional couch in front of the 55” Smart TV + Netflix access provided (additional streaming apps available for you to access: Disney+, Amazon Prime, Crave TV, and more) or pick a movie from our vast DVD collection. Our favourite cottage activity: game night! We are proud game collectors offering fun for the whole family to enjoy and have provided some of our favourite games for you to enjoy, from Twister to Catchphrase to puzzles - there is something for everyone!
Lower Level - Laundry & Mud Room: Equipped with a full washer & dryer, drying rack, linen closet, and a secondary fridge (perfect for drinks or extra food). The Mud Room provides direct access to the outdoor backyard, covered lounge area and fire pit. Don’t forget to grab the guitar on your way out for bonfire singalongs!
Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire house including all outdoor areas and water toys. The home is accessible through electronic keyless entry.
