Surrounded by peaceful horse pasture, private cottage has wide front porch for southern-style contemplation. Renovated, full of light. As of Feb 18, 2016 not accepting new reservations for more than one person due to new anti-bnb law and reservation must be for more than 3 months. Sorry!

The space
This is a perfect little cottage, peaceful, comfortable and lovely. It is surrounded by a horse pasture and sits behind an antebellum plantation house. It has all the amenities of a southern farm, but is only 20 minutes to downtown Nashville in the satellite city of Forest Hills. Just renovated in 2015!!

Guest access
Access to pool and backyard (swim at your own risk). Our horses are to be seen and admired, but not ridden by guests. The sleeping loft is perfect for children over 6 years old, but not younger. There is a portable air-conditioner if you need it, but the cottage is designed to be airy and breezy with lots of fans, so most people have not used the AC.

Other things to note
We keep our property organic, and recycle glass, plastic and paper. We feed leftover food to our chickens and compost all the remaining organic matter. The cottage is designed with a cupola and ceiling fans to make it airy and breezy, even in the heat of summer. There is a portable air conditioner for the worst of the heat.

Neighborhood highlights

Our neighborhood is wooded and green and very quiet. We are inside the boundaries of a city within a city...we have two mayors! The property is in Forest Hills, which is a satellite city within the Nashville limits. Short-term rentals are legal in Nashville, but the Board of Commissioners of Forest Hills has introduced a new law to make it illegal!!! So, we will stop accepting new reservations for later than July 1, 2016.
