In the heart of Niumalu, a rural neighborhood near the Huleia River and Nawiliwili Harbor in Lihue, sits a completely remodeled historic "motel" known as Motel Lili. Thoroughly modernized and renovated to accommodate a single traveler or couple traveling to Kauai on a budget, there are six attached studio apartments on a spacious stream side lot.

The space
Each of the 6 attached studios has a comfortable queen bed, ceiling fan, a bathroom with a tiled shower, a closet, and a small kitchenette with a sink, full size refrigerator, toaster & coffee maker. While there are no cooking facilities in the studios, there is a shared BBQ grill located by the stream side common area with a large picnic table, for outdoor dining.

Each themed suite features artwork that reflect an aspect of Hawaiian life and culture. If you've visited Kauai before, you know how much surfing is a part of our culture. This unit is named the Nalu room (which means "Surf" in Hawaiian) to celebrate Hawaii's love for surfing.

Each clean and comfortable studio includes high-speed WiFi internet service and an outdoor, covered sitting/eating area. There is safe, off-street parking on our fenced property. Coin operated laundry facilities (2 washers/2 dryers, clothesline) are provided and share

Kauai Beach Boys beach concession located on Kalapaki Beach offers surf and beach rentals and instruction. Learn how to surf or paddleboard or just rent the gear and experience the fun waves at Kalapaki Bay. Also in close proximity are Waterfall Rappel and kayak adventures, and sunset boat cruises.

Born to a Lebanese father and French mom; Fluent in French, English and Arabic. U.S.C.G. Licensed Ocean Operator, Founder True Blue Charters & Kauai Beach Boys. Moved to California in 1978 from Aix-En-Provence with a sailboard shipped to San Pedro from Marseille. Moved to Kauai a year later, to Surf, Sail, Fish and Dive. Also a , Jazz Manouche aficionado, and amateur guitarist (a work in progress). Since 1983, Kamal's main business “KAUAI BEACH BOYS” is Kauai’s longest running outdoor outfitter. Ask your host for advice on anything to do in, on, or under the water during your stay. If you're a musician, ask for a jam or, borrow a guitar for your stay :) Welcome and Aloha!
