It's very private and quiet. Pet friendly, sleeps up to 4, with a short walk to the Monte Rio beach and groceries.

Here's what you'll experience at the Charming Cabin, sometimes referred to as "The TreeHouse":
The TreeHouse cabin is a very cozy space that feels comfortable for two (2) people, but can accommodate up to four with a living room sofa bed. A small space with floor-to-ceiling windows along the face of the living room, it creates a wide-open feel that combines old world charm with a contemporary aesthetic.
And two skylights (one in the living room, and one in the kitchen), provide added light and views of the soaring redwoods above.
One focal point is a fun, retro 50's kitchen that’s both a little bit kitschy and way classy. This full kitchen retains some period charm and has been updated with a sweet eat-in dining area.
As for the rest of the cabin, a tiny full bathroom with a shower separates the kitchen from a private rear bedroom with a queen bed. A large side window and rear facing windows offer beautiful views of the surrounding redwood trees marching up the hillside. A small back door provides access to a small patio and other outdoor amenities.
Fully equipped with high-speed wireless internet, a land-line phone, and TV, the TreeHouse allows you to plug-in or tune into almost any century. And the large overstuffed leather reading chair in the living room, seems to invite you in with your favorite book, while enjoying the wood stove fireplace on a cool evening.
One surprise may delight those seeking a different kind of getaway: located in the living room, a hidden secretary writing desk ready for your laptop. A best-selling book and scores of known essays have been penned here.
With two decks and an upper lounging area, there are plenty of outdoor spaces to enjoy the surrounding redwoods.
The side deck is perched high above a soothing hillside stream, and provides the most intimate and private space, with two small chairs for taking in the forest sounds. A gas grill is also located on this deck with convenient access to the backdoor and the nearby kitchen.
Terraced behind the TreeHouse at the top of the property, is a sitting area anchored with two comfortable lounge chairs. It’s the perfect place for kicking back and unwinding with your favorite beverage, while giving the feeling that you're actually in the soaring redwood trees!
Situated high above the street, the comfortable front deck offers panoramic views of the abundant redwoods surrounding the Tree House. And a cool wine barrel table with 2 stools provides a great spot for a snack or cocktails, while taking in the views.

ATTENTION dog lovers:
Well-behaved dogs are always welcome at the TreeHouse. We have a fenced-in front yard for your pups to play, stay safe, and do their business.
And in order to assure a clean space for every guest, all new bookings with dogs require a modest (non-refundable) fee. $45/dog each stay. When booking the Treehouse, please note the number of dogs in your message and it will be reflected in the nightly rate.
Please note: if you bring a dog to the Treehouse (a non-service or emotional support animal) without informing us in advance, there will be a $60 additional cleaning fee as it requires our housekeeper to do extra deep cleaning, no matter how tidy your pup. Thank you!
Dog amenities: Fenced-in front yard, and a comfy dog bed in the living room.
Dog rules: Please keep doggies off of the sofa and the bed. If you're unable to do that, please bring a sheet or blanket to cover any furniture, for your dog to lay on. Poop bags for your use are located in the top, left drawer in kitchen (to left of sink). Please feel free to use them.
