Fall dates just made available by owner for last minute leaf lovers!

Vacation at this quaint 1930’s rambler-style cabin nestled on the banks of a babbling creek in the woods along scenic Pearson Falls Rd. The location features spectacular hiking trails, mountain biking, waterfalls, and secluded fishing holes in historic Saluda, NC.

The gigantic screened porch has room to relax, play games, or just listen to the stream. Interior decor is offbeat antiques and original works of art from locals.

The space
October and November dates have just been released by the owner. This home is now available for your last-minute trip.

MOUNTAIN AIR - The screen porch has room for the entire group to relax, play games, sip a favorite beverage, or just listen to the birds and creek with a good book. If there’s a chill in the air, move the festivities down to the primitive campground/firepit. We recommend 88.7 WNCW on the radio dial or online streaming. Mewdlic, in the quaint row of shops at the top of the road, offers an ample selection of wine and local craft beer to-go.

CABIN COMFORT - The owners (with two kids) purchased this retreat in 2017 for their own enjoyment. They visit monthly, and plan to do so for decades to come. Guests appreciate the extra love this home receives. The décor includes a hodgepodge of offbeat local antiques, original works of art, and surviving finishes from the original home. All seven beds are Charleston Mattresses®, handcrafted specifically for the cabin. And all systems have been upgraded since 2020, including new central heating and air in 2023.

DOWNTOWN FUN - Historic Downtown Saluda’s shops, galleries, restaurants, and cafés are all within 1.5 miles of the cabin (take a left out of the driveway). Walk, bike, or drive to Azalea Bistro, Back Alley Barn Tavern, Green River BBQ, Green River Brew Depot, Green River Eddy’s Tap Room & Grill at Saluda Outfitters, Mewdlic, The Purple Onion, The SPOT Taqueria, Wakey Monkey, Ward’s Grill, and Wildflour Bakery & Café.

FALLING WATER EVERYWHERE - Take a right out of the driveway (bike, hike, or drive) to travel along Joel’s Creek and meet the North Pacolet River. Along the way, enjoy a small waterfall on the right (approx. 0.3 miles). Then pass through the Saluda Grade Railroad Tunnel (approx. 0.9 miles) to reach the Missing Forty hiking trail (approx. 1.2 miles from cabin). This trail is marked with a small sign, wooden railing and stairs leading to the creek. Continuing down Pearson Falls Road, past the Missing Forty, cross over the bridge where the creek converges with the North Pacolet River (approx. 1.3 miles). Along this stretch there are several trails leading down to a mix of pools and rushing currents, perfect for swimming or fishing. The North Pacolet River is hatchery supported trout waters. Pearson Falls and Glen (check their website for admission and hours) is 1.8 miles from the cabin.

MORE – Parking for 3 vehicles, small charcoal grill, side sleeping porch, galley kitchen, basement bike and fishing gear storage, loft bedroom space perfect for star gazing, firepit, puzzle table, games, rocking chairs, record collection and player, high-speed wi-fi, Roku, and the Blue Ridge mountains out the front door.
