PALAZZO CATTLOICA is a private apartment very well located in the heart of the old city, in a magnificent and aristocratic palace whit a private imposing double courtyard: pretty much the perfect introduction to the decrepit grandeur of the historical center of Palermo.
The magnificent palazzo from the 18th C, magically takes us back to the splendour of another time of aristocratic greatness and a stay within its walls is a unique and special experience
Even though awaiting restoration, the wonderful staircase leading up to the apartment is very impressive with a headless classical statue. There are many stairs to climb to the apartment, but they are shallow, not tiring, and with such a glamorous old staircase, you barely notice the climb. "Despite the 134 steps to get here, the best kept secret of palermo!" (Irene)
The lovely, quiet and sunny apartment is tastefully decorated with many personal artistic touches, with plants and flowers and artistic paintings. "Every items has its history, life and perfect plan in it" (Elena). The apartment is a very haven of peace and you can fell at home!
From the sunny balcony and windows, you can enjoy of a vantage point of view above the lively town of Palermo. Stay in Palazzo Cattolica Art Apartment is a very adventurous and palatial experience!

I have acquired over time the necessary experience to understand what my guests are looking for and need during their stay.
I love this city and I revel in unveiling its most authentic and secret nature to my guests.
How to get to the apartment from Palermo Airport:

By taxi: we have arranged transfers with our driver waiting for you at airport arrivals, holding a sign with your name on (journey time: around 30 minutes, price € 40,00, up to four people).
How to get to the apartment from Palermo Central Station:

How to get to the apartment from Palermo Port:
Take a taxi from the area inside the harbour as the road to the apartment is very busy and not suitable for walking (price of the taxi journey around €10,00)

Arrive at Corso Vittorio Emanuele, turn right onto Piazza Marina and at the end of the square turn right onto Via Longarini. Follow Via Longarini until the end, then turn right onto Via Alessandro Paternostro.
The apartment was in a great location and is a very unique charming place to stay. Although we did not meet Antonio directly he was great help providing information and making it a lovely stay.
Prima.
i'm happy that you like my apartment and thanks for your suggestions.
I'm sorry that you were not able to contact me by phone but I assure you that I am always available 24Hrs and have not received any call or email. Maybe there was a mistake that does not depend on me, but in any case i'm really sorry. I hope don't have caused any hardship during your stay.
I'll be glad to offer you a drink next time ;-)
Excellent communication though didn't get to meet Antonio as he was away.
The apartment is certainly singular! If you are looking for something different, whilst at the same time very well located, with private parking and on the whole pretty comfortable then go for it! Note that both bedrooms are on a mezzanine with an open archway between them so are not as 'private' as they might be!
We have just returned from a month-long trip to Palermo , still jet-lagged, but very happy with memories of our month's stay in the beautiful apartment of Antonio and Fiammetta. All the compliments that many other guests have given to them are well-deserved. The apartment is beautifully furnished, quiet, and cosily situated in a corner of the top floor of an old palazzo in the old part of this ancient city. It became our home. Antonio and Fiammetta were very attentive and provided us with transportation to and from the airport, an extensive list of excellent restaurants and amenities, and arrangements with their friends for lodging and a guide in neighboring Trapani, Erice, and Marsala. Antonio and Fiammetta's beautiful family and network of friends greatly personalized our travel experience and set it apart from many of our other travels.
We highly recommend staying at this wonderful B&B. You will definitely not regret it!
Ciao Antonio e Fiammetta!
Rob & Lotti
We had a fantastic stay in Antonio's apartment - everything we expected and MORE! Gorgeous apartment, very comfortable, in a beautiful building and a great part of town. Antonio was a great host - very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. Can't recommend this too highly. Fantastic!
Antonio was a wonderful host: always friendly and helpful with any advice or information we needed. He gave us his personal guide of the city with lots of interesting hints where to go for sightseeing, dinner or shopping. The situation of the place is unique: in an old palace, in the middle of Old Town with lots of tourist attractions. The flat is originally furnished, with paintings, sculptures and many art objets. It all made our stay in Palermo very special. Thank you Antonio!
Great appartment right in the heart of Palermo. Unique atmosphere. We enjoyed it very much and Antonio gave us verygood recommendations where to go and what to do.
