A 1930s county jail converted into a themed stay with original cells, bars, and a custom window bar
Unique, clean, and well loved
Guests call it one of the most unique places they've stayed, with many praising how clean it is
Historic 1930’s county jail renovated into a luxury stay. Front room is a beautiful gathering space with a custom window bar, small couch, chair, and TV. Front cells have been transformed with a queen size bed into our cell suite. Solitary confinement is now a large bathroom with LED make up mirror/table & stools. Second sleeping area is original three cells / six bunks with new comfy memory mattresses. All new fixtures updated the original inmate bathroom. Kitchenette has coffee & microwave.

We’ve made every effort to add luxury to your stay while keeping the historic reality of a jail experience. *Top three bunks require you to climb up just as inmates were required to do in 1930. There are two steps to enter the jail along with two steps in the larger bathroom and one step in the smaller bathroom.

Golfing only a 10 minute drive to Dream Valley Golf Course. Make a stop for refreshments at The Leaky Roof Meadery.
*Drive 22 miles north for a day hike at Lead Mine Conservation Area. On the way back step back in time with a stop by the Lead Mine Country Store and The Dutch Kitchen featuring Contemporary Pennsylvania Dutch Cooking. See horse drawn buggies and purchase delicious baked goods • dry goods • and more.
*Just a 30 minute drive gets you to Bennett Springs State Park for a day of fishing and hiking. NRO Campground offers kayaking if you have an adventurous side or if you just want a relaxing day try their river raft float. We recommend any day other than Saturday for less river traffic.
*Drive 45 minutes and you are at Bass Pro Shops / Wonders of Wildlife in Springfield MO.
*Silver Dollar City and lots of tourist attractions are waiting for you in Branson, MO that is 73 miles south.
