The space
This condominium is part of the "Islander On the Beach" resort in Kapaa, Kauai. It is a studio unit on the second floor of the Oahu building, with views of the ocean and the pool from your private Lanai. The condo offers a King Size Bed, a hideaway sofa, large bathroom, and a kitchenette with a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, electric tea pot, blender, cookware and dinnerware, along with other kitchen accessories and FREE beach equipment. A comfortable living room area and dining table are there for your enjoyment as well. WE offer free cable TV and high speed internet during your stay. A recently remodeled bathroom with marble countertops continuing the Tommy Bahama designer look, will make your stay comfortable. Marble tile floors and floor to ceiling windows in the sliding glass door to the lanai, provide a beautiful view of the ocean and beachside pool area (see photos).
Guests have access to the beachside pool and jacuzzi, offering a convenient poolside bar and a bar-b-q area and several pool side Bali style cabanas, gas grills and picnic tables.
Walk past the pool to the beach and enjoy a day on one of Kauai's most beautiful shorlines. A large coral reef just off shore offers excellent snorkeling. A walk down the beach in either direction will reveal amazing views, swimming, snorkeling, ancient Hawaiian archeological sites, a state park with a family swimming lagoon, and a popular barefoot beach bar and restaurant next door called the "Lava Lava Beach Club." The Beach Club is Kauai's only "on the beach" bar and restaurant. There is shopping and restaurants and groceries within walking distance at the "Coconut Market Place" adjacent to the resort.
The property beach path connects to the Kapaa Bike Path that runs north for miles along the coast for an unforgettable day cycling to a secluded beach where you can swim and enjoy a private picnic.
A favorite activity nearby is to kayak up the Wailua River to the majestic Wailua Falls for a swim. You will pass the "Kamokila Hawaiian Village" cultural heritage site along the way and the beautiful "Fern Grotto" cave. Be sure to take time to stop in to see them both.
Islander on the Beach and the charming little town of Kapaa will soon become a favorite Hawaiian vacation spot you'll come back to year after year.

Parking at the resort is FREE for guests. Guests can obtain a free parking pass in the room that you can place in your car during your stay. Be sure to return the pass to the room upon check out to avoid a replacement fee. I will also send you your electronic DOOR CODE to unlock the front door of the condominium, prior to check-in. The pool hours are 9:00 am - 10:00 pm daily. As our AirBNB guest, you will not be required to pay the $20/day resort fee or daily parking fee. You have full access to the beach, pool, jacuzzi, cabanas, Bar-B-Q, picnic tables and other amenities.
Other things to note
Convenient bike rental companies are located nearby should you want to enjoy riding on one of America's top 5 bike paths that runs right past the condo. Ask the host for details to reserve your bikes. As an an AirBNB guest, you will not be required to pay the $20/day resort fee or daily parking fee. You have full access to the pool and jacuzzi and other amenities.
We do require a mid-stay cleaning charge for stays that are a week or longer. This service will include making beds with new linens, providing fresh bath and beach towels and restocking of toilet paper, paper towels and toiletries for $65.
