100+ year old, famous Tail O the Pup Cabin # 5 located on the Tail O the Pup property and BBQ restaurant that has been around since 1927. Cabins are nestled underneath 150 year old great White Pines. Cabins are basic and rustic but they do have hot water, showers and toilets. No linens provided !!

New Ownership since 2021 Season

There is a playground, BBQ Restaurant and Bar, Live music,BBQ grill, basketball court & fire pit. Located 4 miles from Lake Placid and Saranac Lake

The space
These cabins have been around for 100 years as they were used initially for a place for families to stay when they came up to the Saranac Lake / Ray Brook area to visit their family members who were sick with TB

The property has operated as a an outdoor seasonal BBQ/Seafood restaurant one one side of the property with the cabins located on the other side. There is a fire pit, basketball hoop and playground that is used by both the restaurant and the guests staying in the cabins.

Other Things to Note:

There is an additional $15 pet fee for the first day, $5 for each additional day, that is not included in the base price. This fee will be added after initial booking. This additional fee allows staff to conduct additional cleaning services on the cabin. Pet fee can be taken care of at time of check in.
