Welcome to The Wise Quack - our cozy cottage in the center of Deep Creek Lake activities…all 4 seasons! Ski at Wisp Resort, kayak on the Youghiogheny River, hike, bike, golf, horseback ride, boat or lay on a sandy beach. Surrounded by 8 state parks. Family-friendly, the WQ, has all the comforts of home with a full kitchen, WIFI, DISH TV, grill, fire pit, tiny house game room and deck to view the wildlife surrounding you. Early check-in & late check-out=more time to enjoy!

The space
A private location sitting on a little less than one acre with lots of outdoor space - including a front deck with fenced in yard, a fire pit, back deck, outdoor games (corn hole, horse shoes, and spike ball), an open garage to store your kayaks, canoes, bikes and ski equipment while you're having dinner in town, a tiny house game room with a ping pong table, board and card games including chess....this is a family friendly home. Please note: although there is no ac, there are ceiling fans in almost every room. Cell phone and wifi service in the Deep Creek Lake area in general is not always reliable and is not guaranteed. Also, streaming of movies, video games or tv shows may not be successful. We have DISH-TV (with movies and tv shows) and DVD players with lots of movies for your viewing pleasure. Each bedroom highlights a different season in Deep Creek Lake. Grocery delivery by our staff is available if ordered online from the local Walmart. If ordered at least 24 hours before your arrival, your groceries will be delivered and perishables put away before you arrive. Enjoy your taste of Deep Creek Lake at the Wise Quack !

Other things to note
We are across the road from the Youghiogheny river, located down a deep embankment. Popular access to the river for kayaking and hiking is less than a mile from the house. Trout fishing also available. Nearby boating, swimming, whitewater rafting and skiing. Bring your gear and be ready for great outdoor adventures!
