Bask in the magic of Taos, NM 🙌

The space
A Taos eco-lux gem only 8 miles from the Taos Plaza and 9 miles from the Taos Pueblo UNESCO heritage site, but it feels like it is on another planet.

Home Highlights:

Private Hot Tub: Soak and relax while taking in breathtaking views of the Taos Mesa.
Fiber-Optic WiFi: Fast, reliable internet (download speeds of 76 Mbps and upload speeds of 16 Mbps), perfect for streaming and remote work.
Spacious, Fully Equipped Kitchen: Cook up a feast with mountain views framed by large windows.
Outdoor Dining & Stargazing: Dine under the stars and enjoy the expansive desert sky.
Ideal Location: Away from the noise, yet just minutes from the Rio Grande Bridge and Rio Grande Del Norte National Monument.

Hiking, biking, climbing, hot springs, hot air balloons, rafting, skiing, shopping, pickleball, star-gazing, art, culture, food; our home is in the middle of it all.

Note: if you are looking to disconnect, this is the place to be, only Verizon cell service works at the house with a booster. Other carriers may work if wifi calling is enabled, but this is not a guarantee. We have fiber optic internet for zoom calls and streaming.

Weather:
Taos, New Mexico sits at 7000 feet. The winters and summers are both mild. Although we sit next to snowy mountains if there is snow in town it only sticks around for a day or two. We have sunny skies 90% of the year and the summers rarely get above 90°. The landscape is high desert, so if you are coming from humid environs you will be pleasantly surprised by the dry climate which makes the summers delightful, and the snow for skiing some of the best in the country.

Eco-amenities:
Dwellings Cassiopeia is a super-insulated passive solar home design with radiant floor heating. There are separate thermostats in every room.
You will be able to fine-tune the warmth to your exact specifications.

Layout:
The kitchen, living, and dining are arranged in an open space floor plan. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms. A 600’ deep well provides delicious freshwater, no need to buy bottled water.

Comfort:
We have two high-end King beds, a chiropractic roller table in the living room, and a Catnapper couch with electric extending footrests.
There are ceiling fans in every room to help regulate temperature.

Kitchen:
All new stainless steel appliances include a fridge with an ice maker, microwave, stove, dishwasher, and small convection oven. The space is a delightful place to cook with an enormous recycled glass concrete countertop and sweeping mountain views.

Tech:
High-speed fiber-optic WIFI is provided throughout the home. Two flat-screen TVs give you access to Netflix, Hulu, and Prime.

Land:
The house is set on 3 acres with large views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, the southernmost range of the Rocky Mountains. The Sage surrounding the house is the same Sage that you can buy at the Pueblo bundled as smudge sticks. Feel free to gather some for yourself. This area was the playground of shepherds for 100 years, now it is the setting for off-grid and sustainable living.

Reliable Cell Service:
Verizon service works well in the area, and other carriers can connect via WiFi calling.

Road Conditions:
The home is accessed via a well-maintained dirt road, just 3/4 of a mile from the paved highway, ensuring easy access for any vehicle.

Winter Stays:
During winter, a snow-capable vehicle is recommended but not required. The dirt road leading to the house is plowed, though the driveway is not.
