The Ocean Moon is a cozy 4 bd A-frame located in Irish Beach. A 6 ft fence and tall hedge provides a large area for dogs to romp and play. Featuring a hot tub, cold plunge, sauna and outdoor shower. Ocean Moon is a sanctuary to rest, relax and recoup.
1 mile walk to Irish Beach (portions of the walk/drive down to beach is quite steep). Road is paved for cars.
We use non-toxic cleaning products and toiletries.
Chargepoint EV charging is Free and available during hours 10pm to 9am
The space
The property is surrounded by magnificent trees with views of the ocean and lighthouse on a clear day. Located a few mins inland of Hwy 1, there are no neighbors on either side or directly in front.
The sauna is large enough for 1 person to do yoga or stretch out.
We use a Frogg ease ball system for 75 percent reduction in chlorine for the hottub. The hot tub is also equipped with an Ozonator. The cold tub has ozone and uv-c light. Please shower and scrub to remove any natural oils before entering the tubs. Also rinse after the sauna before entering tubs. Well behaved dogs are welcome ($40 per day for 2 dogs MAX, if more dogs please message us.) .
NOTE:
*** Cell reception is spotty along the coast. Please print out directions and address prior to traveling.
*** Please do not leave dogs unattended on the property at anytime. Please keep them to the first floor and off furniture and beds.
***The stairs going upstairs are narrow, 31 inches. Might not suit those who prefer more space.
*** As with all properties along the coast, we treat for termites regularly. To avoid the toxicity of tenting, we treat through Pacific Coast Termites with nontoxic Orange Oil. If any termite dirt is seen inside the house, please let us know and be assured that it's harmless and it can happen even after treatment.

We have asked housekeeping to change all used linens on the beds INCLUDING DUVET COVERS.
The deck has a 8ft long redwood picnic table and a Webber propane grill.
There are 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom downstairs and 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom upstairs. The downstairs bathroom has a heated drying rack with a heated electronic bidet. The small bath tub has a filtered rain shower head . The upstairs bathroom has a shower stall with filtered rain shower head and a heated bidet. There is a warming bucket to get the towels or clothes toasty after the shower.
Our fast Wifi is the Business Level with Further Reach (18 to 35 MBPS). We also have a Tripp-Lite ethernet plug in case you need a more secure connection.
We use strive to use nontoxic, sustainable, and environmentally friendly cleaning products and toiletries. Examples are brands such as Kirk's, Shikai, and Alba, & etc.

Free EVC (Electrical Vehicle Charging) during the hours of 12am to 9am. It's through Chargepoint Level II for fast charging. Please let us know if you want to know use it for the lock code.
*** Additional guests over 6 are $20 extra per person per night. Maximum occupancy is limited to 10 persons at any time. Ages 2 and up are counted as guests. Only registered guests are allowed on the property at all times. Any persons not listed on the rental agreement will result in a charge of $50 per person, per night.

***Walk to Irish beach is down a steep one way road shared with cars going downhill. The drive is only 2 mins.
***Early Check In
We will not know if early check in is available till the day before Check-in. If available early check-in is $100 and can be as early as 10am, $75 for 1pm
***Late Check Out
We most often do not have late Check Out available. We will not know till the evening before if Late Check out is possible. With permission, late check out is $100 fee for 1 PM check out, $150 till 4pm. Without permission, Late Check Out will be charged a full day’s rate.
Housekeeping is scheduled to arrive at Check Out time in order to have enough time to prepare the property for the next guests. Thank you for understanding.
We use non-toxic and eco-friendly cleaning products such as Biokleen, Bon Ami, Etc.
Examples of some toiletry brands are Alba, Kirk's, Shikai, and Bronner's.
*We do not provide Firewood. Please be aware of the legal season and weather before using the fire pit outside.
In California coastal area, please be aware that fox tails and ticks are common depending on the season.
