The original tiny house before tiny houses were even a thing. Right on the ocean when you close your eyes at night you feel the tide nipping at your toes. Open, light, airy. Simple, modern decor. No frills amenities. Private access and coveted parking to Small Point beach. Sleeps two. Quiet patio with Adirondack chairs and fire pit. Trust us, as romantic a spot as you can imagine.

Where you’ll be

Phippsburg, Maine, United States

The summer community stretches down the peninsula. It is accessed by a couple miles of well-serviced dirt road, through the Maine woods. The Lobster House restaurant, Popham Beach Fort, Spinneys Restaurant, Hermit Island beach, camp ground and general store, and several lobster and clam stores are all within 20 minutes. The nearest town is 25 minutes away and has the Marine Museum, a quaint town center, a weekly farmers market as well as many stores and restaurants.

And this is Mary. We are your hosts. We’ve been together for nine bumpy happy years trying to cobble a life together across three distant states with five children between us. We tripped sideways into AirBnB in 2014. We love it and want to make it our mainstay, and that’s where you come in. Why Maine, you ask? My maternal family has a long storied past here. They were shipbuilders and politicians, feisty matriarchs and male ne'er-do-wells, and my mother left my sisters and I a handful of properties that we now manage. We’re not quitting our day jobs yet, but we are trying our to live our best lives now. I am a former journalist and writer who has lived and worked all over the world. Mary is a Dharma yogi and education activist who loves to cook vegan food. We put a lot of love into our houses. We have a great local cleaning crew who keeps keeps them sparkling clean and a colorful cast of characters who mow, drill, and generally keep the show on the road. We know the area really really well and love to share this knowledge with our guests. We hope you enjoy our houses as much as we do.
