mac provides all the luxuries of large living + an expansive outdoor area. the outdoor tub/shower in the screened-in patio is your own private spa/lounge w privacy curtains! hanging chairs by the fire pit offer a serene and comfy nook. mac is a perfect base camp for the many trails, lakes, rivers, mtns + cute nearby towns or just stay put! mac is situated on a 1.34 acre plot in a modest neighborhood 2 miles from marion's cute main street. mac knows love is love and he welcomes all!

The space
mac provides a private, modern, romantic, tiny house experience. guests report they felt like they were at their own private lil spa. the feel is best described as being on a large, private lot in a quiet neighborhood. it is not “out in the woods” or remote.

mac is perfect for sticking w him the entire stay or using as a comfy base camp for the abundant outdoor activities the area has to offer.

mac has strong wifi, tuft and needle queen bed, full kitchen, 32 inch roku smart tv, walk in shower with waterfall shower head, desk, washer/dryer, keurig + plenty of pods, drip maker drip and pour-over gear (I don't stock ground coffee), cooking gear, indoor & outdoor eating area, gas fire pit, gas grill and the guest fave-outdoor tub/shower with bath salts provided.

the bluetooth ceiling speakers are amazing and easy to pair with your bluetooth equipped smart device to stream music.

mac is great for couples and solo trips.

tiny house living - the outdoor tub has limitless hot water while the indoor shower has limited hot water due to tiny house sized water heater. you must restrict the flow inside for a longer hot shower. back to back hot showers are not possible inside. if you use the washing machine and then the shower, it will be compromised. restricting the flow of the taps will give you plenty of time for a nice, hot shower! :)

Currently, the AC unit will only go to 68 at the very lowest without freezing up.

mac is an excellent base camp/vantage point for many different year round adventures in beautiful and unique western north carolina.

the friendly, charming town of marion won "north carolina small town of the year" in 2018, has a cute lil downtown (The 310 District), an interesting history and an annual BIGFOOT festival!

mac and his companion cabin, mini, are situated on a 1.34 acre plot in a modest, quiet, residential neighborhood 2 miles from marion's historical main street. the large lot and the distance between mac and mini give both their privacy, especially in spring and summer when all the foliage is full.

the linville gorge wilderness, blue ridge parkway, lake james state park, catawba falls, catawba river, mt mitchell, pisgah forest, linville caverns, linville falls, tom's creek falls, crabtree falls, little switzerland, table rock, hawksbill mountain, grandfather mountain and too many to mention beautiful places are not far away. (some of the mentions are a part of the greater linville gorge wilderness)

hike, explore, bike, golf, float, kayak, canoe, snow tube, ski, spelunk, hit breweries and wineries and more!

the close proximity ( 5 miles) to interstate 40 affords easy trips to the super charming towns of asheville, morganton, black mountain, old fort, and many more depending on how far you wish to travel. burnsville, blowing rock, banner elk, & boone are all gems and gorgeous drives.

I moved to NC in 2019 after thirty years in Los Angeles, and I love it here! I love my lil mac and mini so much and hosting has been a very positive and fulfilling experience for me. My guests are so lovely, I am very grateful for them! Marion is a great location with close proximity to so much beauty and the added appeal of it being a bit of a hidden gem still. Although my profile says I don't meet in person, I am usually avail if needed!
