Neighborhood highlights

Creekside HOA is a newly built, Gated community located at the northern tip of Rainbow Lake. The neighborhood is clean and quiet, mostly full time residents, and some vacation homes. Rainbow lake is right out our back door - you can walk there to fish, kayak or rent boats at the marina. Additionally, there is a small Pond and Creek in the HOA. With views of BOTH the Lake AND the Pond, and a bit of privacy from the lake visitors with the berm in between our home and the lake. The open space behind us becomes a seasonal creek with the Lake level rises, it will flow through the back area of the home to the bond. Its truly the best location in the neighborhood. Local Fav Bar & Grill, with large dog friendly out door patio, along with ample inside space is close enough to walk do - A Nice Bonus!

Rainbow Lake is 116 surface acres, and has a maximum depth of 14 feet and an average depth of 7 feet. Currently, the Department stocks catchable-sized rainbow trout in the spring and early summer. Naturally propagating warm water species include largemouth bass, channel catfish, black bullhead, bluegill and green sunfish. The lake also contains illegally introduced northern pike.

This property is impressive all year round for a visit to the White Mountains.

Truthfully, every season is gorgeous in the White Mountains of eastern Arizona. In the spring and summer, the banks of babbling creeks erupt with wildflowers, and in the winter, the rugged peaks and sloping meadows are blanketed in sparkling white.

But it is perhaps in autumn that the White Mountains are at their brightest. Interspersed with the mountains’ pine and fir trees are lovely stands of white-barked aspens and thickets of Gambel oaks.

In late September and early October, the changing colors of the aspens and oaks alternate with the evergreen pines, creating a striking green-and-gold patchwork landscape.

Fall is also a time of glorious weather in Arizona’s high country. Owing to its altitudes that soar to the 6,500-to-9,000-foot-plus range, the White Mountains are always considerably cooler than the lowland deserts of the Phoenix and Tucson areas.

Average high temperatures in White Mountain communities such as Greer and Show Low are in the 70s and 80s in the summer and in the 60s and 70s in the fall. Prime leaf-peeping typically occurs during the first three weeks of October. The September shoulder season, although it might be too early to see the full range of fall colors, is still a wonderful time to visit the White Mountains.

There are many fantastic things to do in Arizona’s White Mountains; from visiting the many Lakes, Hiking Trails, Sunrise Ski Resort, Woods Canyon Lake, Rim Country Museum and more.

Loads to do for all tastes, from outdoor adventures for local explorers to total isolation for those who prefer the homely and the comfy!
