Linger Longer is a spacious lake house on a quiet hillside that is perfect for friends or families to gather, relax and make memories. Enjoy several screened porches and decks with swings, rocking chairs and hammocks that overlook our lake cove. Plenty of space for cooking, eating, playing our indoor and outdoor games/activities, making smores, and sleeping or using wifi and tvs. Several nearby great restaurants, attractions, hiking, and lake access points just a few minutes drive away.

The space
Our Lake house is off the beaten path but minutes from restaurants, groceries, and lakeside swimming. Enjoy one of several porches with rocking chairs, swings, and a propane fire pit to enjoy the view of the surrounding woods and wildlife. The kitchen is well stocked to cook large meals, and the covered porch has a gas grill. Bar area and breakfast nooks are perfect for smaller meals or morning coffee; the main dining table for larger gatherings. Two comfortable living areas, one to enjoy tv or movies and the other for conversations. Four full bathrooms easily accommodate the 13 overnight guests. A pull out sofa can be used for two additional guests, bringing the total to 15. Laundry room is stocked and available should you need it. We respect our neighbors and keep outdoor noise to a minimum after 10 pm. We do not allow parties, outdoor music, or fireworks.

Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire house except for two locked owners closets/areas.

Other things to note
Cell phones should be 'wifi enabled' to have consistent service at the Lake house. There is a land line in the event it is needed. Homeowners maintain an apartment adjacent to the house that they use when on the property to do maintenance or lawn care.

Surrounding woods and peaceful porches make guests feel secluded, but we are just minutes from the cute little hometown of Gainesboro which has a couple of really great restaurants, fast food, and groceries. Other nearby attractions are a lakefront beach at Standing Stone State park, hiking at Cummins Falls, and Burgess Falls, Horseback riding, wineries, rafting and kayaking both at the Caney river and at Wildwood Marina where you can also rent boats, have boat tours, or eat at the lakeside restaurant. Easy day trips to Granville, Cookeville, or Nashville.
