I am 15 minutes drive from Dublin Airport using the M50, located directly beside the N4 which is the motor way to both the West of Ireland ( Galway, Mayo, Sligo etc.), N6, and the Midlands, and with easy access to the N7 as the route to Waterford, Limerick, Cork etc.
Lucan Village with its many cafes, restaurants and food serving Irish pubs is less than 5 minutes walk. Also within 5 minutes walk from the house are Bus Stops travelling to Dublin City Centre (20 minutes by bus) and a number of different Shopping Centre Complexes. At the house there is plenty of parking space.
The house is ideally suited to Families, but also very comfortable for just Adults as the bedrooms are comfortable, quite pretty and you are welcome to enjoy your privacy in the Guest Sitting Room' which is especially cosy with an open fire. There are 3 bedrooms. One with a double bed a single bed and an en suite shower room. The second bedroom has a double bed and a private bathroom with a bath on the corridor. The third bedroom is what was the wine cellar of the house in a different lifetime so is intimate and cosy and is downstairs in the house.

Our house is a 200 year old farmhouse which we extended and renovated 6 years ago so it is now an interesting mixture of old and new. Our children are equally welcoming to guests with new children to play with and to adults who want to enjoy a city break in Dublin.
Most of our guests avail of an organised taxi to get to our home from Dublin Airport or the Ferry Ports. This is easily arranged and we are happy to help. Generally the taxi driver charges € 30 which is very reasonable.
There is no smoking in the house, however the house has 2 peaceful and pretty Patio areas where you may do so.
I also ask that shoes are left downstairs when you are going upstairs.
Siobhan was a great host. We were visiting Lucan for a friends party and had decided to stay. The booking was confirmed quickly and arrangements made. The house is great and breakfast was fantastic. We would definitely recommend staying here to others.
Siobhan and family were very kind and attentive to all our needs, breakfast was sumptuous, the large sitting room great after a day out in Dublin. fifteen minutes from the city centre, the fairy house is a great escape, while Lucan village has all amenities.
Many thanks for our stay in your lovely home.

Alex and me , we repeated this year again the Irish experience with this family. We are just not guests but two members more of the house.
The best of all is the location of the house , 30 minutes from Dublin airport and from Dublin center by bus.
Had a lovely 3 night stay at Fairy House with Siobahn and family. Amazing breakfasts each day, and Setanta the dog was great fun to play with. Very relaxed and friendly environment, and didn't ever feel like we were imposing. Friendly village pubs; we especially liked Carroll's gastropub in Lucan village. Went into Dublin daily, able to drop our luggage off early on 1st day so we could explore too. Our 1st Airbnb stay and was a really pleasant experience, thanks to Siobahn and family!
Siobhan and her family warmly welcomed us. Our rooms were very clean and comfortable. They provided a very generous breakfast to fuel us for days of sightseeing. The location was close to the bus into central Dublin (which was handy given high parking costs in the city). We could also buy food and pharmacy supplies locally and there were several pubs close by at which to eat.
The area was very attractive and friendly.
We were glad of their advice regarding transport and appreciated the local knowledge about Gaelic football and hurling.
This was my second stay with Siobhan and family, and just as enjoyable as the first. (See my earlier review for further comments).

,With my family of 4 boys aged 8-14.I am happy to welcome all guests to our home The boys are fun loving and boisterous! We all enjoy having company in the house and entertain whenever there is an excuse to do so! I enjoy cooking and gardening in my free time from working outside the home on a full time basis.
