Description

The space

I am 15 minutes drive from Dublin Airport using the M50, located directly beside the N4 which is the motor way to both the West of Ireland ( Galway, Mayo, Sligo etc.), N6, and the Midlands, and with easy access to the N7 as the route to Waterford, Limerick, Cork etc.

Lucan Village with its many cafes, restaurants and food serving Irish pubs is less than 5 minutes walk. Also within 5 minutes walk from the house are Bus Stops travelling to Dublin City Centre (20 minutes by bus) and a number of different Shopping Centre Complexes. At the house there is plenty of parking space.

The house is ideally suited to Families, but also very comfortable for just Adults as the bedrooms are comfortable, quite pretty and you are welcome to enjoy your privacy in the Guest Sitting Room' which is especially cosy with an open fire. There are 3 bedrooms. Bedroom 1 with a double bed, a single bed and an en suite shower room. Bedroom 2 has a double bed and a private bathroom with a bath on the corridor. Bedroom 3 with a single bed is in what was the wine cellar of the house in a different lifetime so is intimate and cosy and is downstairs in the house.

For breakfast at the weekends I will offer you French Toast, Scrambled Eggs, Bagels ,During weekdays I will leave you to help yourselves with a variety of foods and access to the kitchen if you wish to have a hot breakfast.

Cot Beds, Steriliser etc. are available for Babies. If you have babies please contact me prior to making a booking, as I will offer you a reduced price.
Bedrooms 1 and 2 are airy and bright with full linen ,towels and basic toiletries supplied.
Bedroom 3 is a once upon a time old wine cellar, small but cosy and is downstairs.
Sharing the double beds will allow accommodation of 6 people in total.

Wi Fi is available and you are welcome to use the computer in the house.. There is a basket in the Bedrooms with lots of Tourist Information, Day Trips etc etc available for you to plan your holiday.
The house is a 200 year old farmhouse which was extended and renovated 8 years ago so it is now an interesting mixture of old and new. My children are equally welcoming to guests with new children to play with and to adults who want to enjoy a city break in Dublin.

Guest access

Guests have the sitting room for their own private use and will have breakfast in there also.

Getting around

The regular Dublin Bus service to the city centre is a few minutes walk to the bus stop from my house

Other things to note

The "Airport Hopper " Service passes through Lucan village and offers a way to the house from the Airport instead of a taxi.

Siobhan's place was lovely. She was very accommodating and kind. The house worked well for the five of us and my girls loved the friendly dog. Location was perfect to walk into Lucan village. Would highly recommend for a family getaway.

Siobhan's home is gorgeous, so much character and so comfortable - a really special place for a relaxed stay. I wish we'd had more time to actually be at the house but had too many prior arrangements for our weekend. Beds were comfortable, the shower was great (and the bath too!), breakfast was lovely - really nice to have that as an option as you don't get that in many Air BnBs. I'd definitely recommend staying with Siobhan and would definitely stay again.

We were made to feel very welcome and Siobhan did everything she could for us. The rooms were warm and comfortable and the breakfast unique. Our girls loved the dog, and being able to use the trampoline! The house is fabulous and quirky, conveniently located and a real find.

Siobhan is the perfect host! She´s very attentive and always ready to help. The house is very nice, clean and comfortable and the rooms were great. The dog is fantastic! The house is really big, so there´s plenty of room for everybody, but the boys are quite noisy at night, so remember to bring your earplugs :) I can definitely recommend this place and would love to come back.

Response from Siobhan:
Apologies for the boys Rosa. They had friends to sleep over that weekend unexpectedly and ordinarily we have a strict rule of no sleepovers when there are guests. Again please find my apologies.

,With my family of 4 boys aged 11-16.I am happy to welcome all guests to our home . We all enjoy having company in the house and entertain whenever there is an excuse to do so! I enjoy cooking and gardening in my free time from working outside the home on a full time basis.
