The Trinity Cabin at Dragonfly Trails is one of four romantic cabins nestled among wooded trails on five acres along the dry bed of the Blanco River.
Sleep late in wooded silence then enjoy coffee on the deck with birds and deer. Rest. Relax in a hot tub built for two. Explore the trails for arrowheads, painted rocks, hidden nests or walking sticks. We're a designated dark-sky community, so star gazing is fantastic at Dragonfly Trails. 10mi to Wimberley square; 20mi to Dripping Spring

The space
Take a drive over the river and through the woods into the spacious silence of hill country acreage. Unwind after a trail hike with a long soak in the hot tub under a canopy of trees. Dragonfly Trails is home to many Texas native birds, so you’ll likely spot robins, finch and maybe even a painted bunting or two in the fading light of dusk. Take in a hill country sunset down at the riverbed while spying white tail deer and other wildlife grazing for the evening.

We are close to many hill country destinations including Jacobs Well, Wimberley Square, Blue Hole, Fischer Dancehall and The Salt Lick, as well as local wineries, distilleries and several wedding venues.

Dragonfly Trails is an eco-friendly, 100% rain water property. We recognize the importance of a small carbon footprint to preserve resources for the generations after ours. Many of the cedar stumps along our trails were felled by hand in the mid forties and fifties by cedar choppers who provided fence posts for ranchers along the Blanco river and throughout the Texas hill country.

In almost every part of the world The Dragonfly symbolizes change, transformation, adaptability, and self-realization. Inspired by our namesake and logo, we created these spaces for new beginnings, renewal and reflections. Whether you're looking for a silent space to think and retreat or a cozy place to reconnect and rekindle, may the spirit of the dragonfly inspire you too. Come discover what you can find.

Guest access
Rock lined trails throughout the property are open to all.
Each cabin has private access along with a private deck with a charcoal grill.

Neighborhood highlights

Four tiny cabins sit on our five wooded acres, so you may have a chance to greet other guests along the trails or under the stars during your stay at Dragonfly.

As for the property itself, we are at the back of a rural wooded neighborhood, so you are more likely to spot a red-breasted robin or a white tail doe than one of our neighbors.

I spend too much time: sitting at a blank screen
I'm an undermedicated, over-caffinated Gen X gal exploring for whatever i can find. I love public art and cooking. My favorite weather is Keystone in July. For me, the only drawback to a beach is seaweed or people or both. I believe life is about the journey unless the journey has a layover at Heathrow or Frankfurt, because that's a whole other story. With perspective, I now think that in some ways John Lennon was right; but in most ways - he was an ego driven jerk. But Paul? ugh.
