If you are looking for a secluded, quiet stay in the forest with access to over 900 acres of hiking (No ATVs), Bubbe's Barn is a great choice! The barn offers utilities so if you like the idea of camping but still want electricity, a stove, refrigerator, a incinerator toilet, a nice bed, and WiFi this is the place! Limited spring water for non-potable purposes is available, but be sure to bring your own drinking water.
2 masters with queen beds and a bunk room with 2 bunk beds sleeps up to 8.

The space
Bubbe's Barn is located behind a locked gate and then drive a mile on a bumpy gravel/dirt road. You will be most comfortable in a vehicle that is suitable for rugged terrain.

Guest access
A beautiful wet weather creek is a short hike away and you are welcome to use our huge firepit adjacent to the cabin.

Other things to note
Yes, pets are allowed at Camp Chet. We do love and welcome fur babies! However, due to the allergens of future guests and the extra cleaning that must done, there is a pet fee of $25 per pet that is separate from the cleaning fee. Please prevent them from getting on the bed or any furniture. Do not leave your pet alone in the cabin. Either take them with you or if you need to leave them behind, please travel with a crate or use the dog run cable in front of the barn.

Southeast Tennessee has a lot of bugs! Being in a remote forested location, expect to see lots of bees and butterflies, but also pests like boxelder bugs, stink bugs, lady bugs, spiders, wasps and flies. We do regular pest control, but these bugs still make their way into the barn. Feel free to use the vacuum to clean them up or relocate them back outside.

Camp Chet was founded with the purpose to help people encounter God through outdoor experiences. It encompasses over 900 acres of private forested land on the Cumberland Plateau in SE Tennessee. Come stay in one of our off-grid cabins, pick a tent campsite, bring your RV or if you want some utilities, try Bubbe's barn. We have miles of hiking trails. If you find a chunk of coal on the ground feel free to take it home with you as a souvenir.
