Stay at Medieval Village Gates! "Casa Lausi” is a beautiful, ancient, recently restored house nestling in the walls of Cesi, a medieval village in southern Umbria (the central “green heart” of Italy!) near Rome, Florence, Spoleto, Orvieto and more!

The space

Cesi is a small medieval village in central Italy.
The accommodation includes 6 bed places (1 double bed, 1 double sofabeds + 1 single bed + 1 single sofabed).
The house is on three floors with a kitchen (with gas cooker and oven), 2 refrigerators (and a capacious freezer). There are two fireplaces inside and a barbecue outside, all in good working order. There is one family bathroom (with shower) and an additional smaller bathroom.
It has a big terrace (and many smaller terraces!) and a garden where you can sit, relax and eat.
From all the windows there is a charming view of the valley.
The main part of the house has a living room with a fireplace, a double bedroom with balcony, a living room with a sofabed, a bathroom and a kitchen. Downstairs there is a very large sitting room, where it is possible to have up to four beds, a big fireplace and a toilet.

Cesi is located in southern Umbria (the “green heart” of Italy!) and is within easy reach of the most famous Umbrian towns including: Perugia, Spoleto, Todi, Orvieto, Assisi and in minutes you can visit important sites such as Marmore Falls (the highest in Europe), the ancient Roman town of Carsulae, the quiet Piediluco lake, the medieval small towns of Narni, Sangemini, Stroncone.

The village is 500 metres high on the mountainside and it overlooks a large valley. The views are stunning.

Cesi is near Terni (10 kms) and Rome (100 Kms), and you can reach Florence, Siena and other famous places in Tuscany in a couple of hours by car via the nearby motorway or by train.

The house is quaint and well furnished. It is nice and quiet. Leonora provided us with ample culinary items which allowed us to forgo rushing to town to buy food and necessities immediately upon arrival. It is a great location from which to drive and visit all the sites in Umbria then come back to the house and relax.

Had a wonderful time. The house was well equipped and clean. Elenora & Daniella were exceptionally friendly and welcoming - we particulary enjoyed our cooking lessons and the daily fresh eggs! The village was quiet and unique and the perfect place to unwind after our hectic time in Rome. Had a great day trip to the waterfall. Highly recommended for a relaxing stay.

Eleonora and her mother, Daniela did everything possible to make both our arrival and our stay easy and comfortable. They were very understanding of our late arrival due to our GPS leading us astray despite Eleonora's very clear instructions! The warm welcome and the cold prosecco helped to soothe our nerves! The highlight of the trip was the cooking course we took with Daniela and her friend, both of whom gave us very useful insider tips on classic Italian cooking! We spent a wonderful morning with them! The house is calm and peaceful (though fans are definitely needed in the summer months) and the garden is beautiful. This is a place that definitely lived up to expectation and we would love to come back! A big thank-you to Eleonora and Daniela from all of us.

The place, village and people are even more amazing than one could have hoped for. If peace and serenity are what you're looking for then this is the right place for you. The house is also equipped with anything you may need to cook. Eleonora was very helpful and flexible during our stay in Cesi. She mades us feel that the place is our home by even leaving us some fresh eggs from her chickens and other items for breakfast the next day. I could not recommend this place more and will be back again.

My family spent over a month at Casa Lausi and had an amazing time. The house is beautiful and authentic with a wonderful garden area ideal for eating in the sun. The village of Cesi is a small village typical of the area with a very authentic feel. Eleonora and Daniella were fantastic hosts - very caring and flexible. I would definitely recommend this property to other Air BnB users.

This was one of the most awesome places I've stayed in. The view is incredible. The rustic, country-style interior is fantastic. The shower head was torrential, the kitchen was stocked, and the prosecco was cold. Our hosts Eleanora and Daniella were brilliant and welcoming, and always ready to help when things cropped up. A great place to unwind at the end of a hectic trip.

Eleonora was a great host! She could not be there to meet us as we arrived later than expected so her mother came by to help settle us in. Eleonora had left us some food for breakfast and she even had a bottle of Prosecco waiting for us. There was a minor blackout in the night after we had put a load into the wash and, Eleonora and her husband came promptly to our rescue. The house was spacious and clean and is exactly as pictured. Her cats were also adorable and we grew quite attached to them in the 2 days.
