Neighborhood highlights

Jardim Goiás is a neighborhood located in the city of Goiânia. Initially, the area was part of a farm owned by Lourival Louza. Its growth occurred from the 1980s, with the construction of the Flamboyant Shopping Center and its inauguration in 1981. There was a small vertical growth in the region, however, it was from the 1990s that several hypermarkets, such as Carrefour and Walmart, settled in the region, which brought great real estate speculation. It is currently one of the most upscale neighborhoods in the municipality.[1]

In Jardim Goiás, there is one of the main parks and postcards of the city, Parque Flamboyant. Around the park are some of the most valued apartments in the capital.

The main street of the neighborhood is Av. Jamel Cecílio, one of the most congested avenues in the capital and where the Carrefour Hypermarkets, Sam's Club and Emporium Prime, the Flamboyant Shopping Center, dealerships of several automakers and a hotel are located.

Jardim Goiás is also home to the headquarters of some public agencies, such as the Public Prosecutor's Office of the State of Goiás, SANEAGO, Celg GT and the Criminal Forum of the TJGO. In addition, the neighborhood is also home to the headquarters of TV Serra Dourada, an SBT affiliate in Goiás and the Serra Dourada Stadium, the largest soccer stadium in the state.
