Monarch Country Retreat, nestled among pines, is a tranquil haven perfect for a digital detox. The vibrant ecosystem teems with life, from fluttering butterflies to soaring hawks. Bird watchers will delight in the diverse avian population. Outdoor activities abound, inviting relaxation and reconnection with nature. Escape digital life and immerse yourself in this natural sanctuary.

The space
Our 2001 manufactured country retreat offers ample space for relaxation after a day of exploring the wonders of nature. The indoor LED fireplace provides a cozy nook for immersing yourself in a good book, while still allowing you to enjoy the sights and sounds of nature through the windows. The expansive screened-in front porch is an ideal spot for socializing over board games.

Treat yourself to a delicious steak dinner grilled on our gas grill. Post-dinner, unwind by the propane fire pit, engage in a friendly game of horseshoes or corn hole, or simply sit on the butterfly bench and observe the wildlife attracted to the feeders around the bench.

We welcome dogs, but kindly request they be leashed at all times. Horse lovers will find ample space for parking horse trailers and tie line areas just outside the home.

The north side of the property invites relaxation with a hammock nestled between pines, a net for badminton or volleyball games, and a horseshoe pit.

Please respect the boundaries of the rental property and refrain from venturing past the south side of the butterfly bench. We cannot be held liable for any incidents involving your animals.

While there is no dock for fishing, you may fish as close to the water as you're comfortable with. Please be mindful that the area leading to the water can be marshy depending on recent rainfall, and we recommend wearing snake boots.

Explore our mowed paths through 10 acres of beautiful nature walks and find perfect spots for picnics along the way. These paths are located to the southwest of the retreat, running along the southwest of the pond behind the blue house to the west.

This space is ideal for nature lovers and animal enthusiasts. It's not suited for those who prefer city life. Please understand that country living involves hearing animals, gunshots, and encountering bugs from time to time.

Guests will be held responsible for any damages to the home.

Guest access
The entire retreat is private to you. There is 1 room that is locked that you will not be able to access. Otherwise the entire home is for your use.

Other things to note
Plenty of space for parking horse trailers. There are tie-line areas available for your horses. The pines are spaced closely enough that you could construct a temporary paddock.

Plenty of space for RV parking

This location is in the country where there is dirt, bugs, and wild animals. If these things make you uncomfortable please stay in the city.

We are on well water which can cause hard water stains in the shower and toilet from time to time.

***We don't have any check-out duties. Our only expectation is that you relax and enjoy the nature that surrounds the property***

Hailing from a quaint town that echoes the sentiments of John Mellencamp’s song, Small Town. I am a proud mother to the most wonderful children in the cosmos and a devoted wife to my Hercules. An aficionado of art, I revel in the joy of laughter and have a penchant for peculiar melodies. Miami Beach has eternally captured my heart, yet the country soul within me cherishes those moments of returning to my roots and basking in natures embrace.
