Extra spacious

Guests love this home’s spaciousness for a comfortable stay.
A small river flows though green meadows, 100 shade trees, grazing horses in the fields of this working ranch. A quaint bungalow or wing of the main house. Meadowlands cottage looks out towards the huge shade trees and acres of green lush meadows. Catch a frog or soak in the all natural cedar hot tub under the light of ten thousand stars. Mountain spring water flows through the taps, private river with swimming hole, hot tub, horses. No checkout chores.

The space
In the MAIN BEDROOM lush green floods in very large windows from our vast lawns and meadows. The room has a comfortable queen-sized bed and an attached ensuite bathroom. Nestled in the corner is a built-in bunk bed, curtained for privacy, with a large wall-mounted TV—ideal for accommodating little ones or enjoying some private TV time.

The BATHROOM has a tile floor, a curtained walk-in shower, and an exposed vaulted ceiling. Two doors, one from the bedroom, another from the hall to the rest of the house.

There is a locked and sound insulated central door off from this hall that leads to the Mountain View listing next door. We also have a listing for the whole ranch for larger groups.

The snug DEN, serving as the second bedroom or living room has super comfortable twin beds and a spacious sitting area with a large TV. For chilly winter evenings, a potbellied stove stands in the corner with plenty of firewood from the ranch wood pile.

At the heart of the house is the KITCHENETTE, equipped with a large counter, electric stove top, two mini fridges, a toaster oven, microwave, sink, and laundry facilities.

Our 15 acres of park-like GROUNDS are divided into two distinct zones. The initial 5 acres, located above the meandering seasonal river that gracefully flows through the ranch. Shaded by huge majestic trees, our all-natural cedar hot tub, thrilling zip line, and rustic barns. The lower area is tranquil flood meadows, ample space for our retired horses to frolic and graze.

Guest access
You have complete and private access to all interior areas photographed

Additionally, you are welcome to explore the fenced grounds of Kernville Ranch. Take a soothing dip in our all-natural cedar hot tub, plunge into the seasonal swimming hole in our private river, experience the thrill of the zip line, and feel free to use firewood from the woodpile for cozy evenings.

The ranch spans 15 acres, featuring two additional available listings. This is Meadowlands Cottage. There is an attached but separate Mountain View listing next door. A few hundred feet away is the Shiny Spartan travel trailer. Both of these listings can be rented separately. For larger groups, consider renting the entire ranch.

We encourage guests to connect with fellow vacationers. While exploring our ranch please exercise caution and common sense. These areas contain tractors and farm equipment essential for ranch operations.

Other things to note
The magic of our property may reveal itself in unexpected ways. Perhaps a herd of deer will grace you with their presence as you witness the sunset over the water meadows. Or your children may frolic through the mint field, their hands cradling a new found frog. Nature and wildlife will undoubtedly make their presence known during your stay.

My husband and I are thrilled to share Kernville Ranch's enchantment with you. Our approach is a delicate one – we renovated the house and its surroundings to offer families a comfortable and enjoyable experience while safeguarding the historical charm of the Ranch, where wildlife thrives.

Kernville Ranch is home to several retired horses, a gentle river flows through our land. Abundant water keeps our grounds lush and green. Above the river we have expansive lawns and towering shade trees, providing a welcome respite from the heat.

Separated by the babbling brook that meanders through the property (Runs seasonally April through December), the remainder of the ranch opens into flood meadows where retired horses roam freely. Ducks, herons, and ospreys grace our skies, painting a picturesque scene against the backdrop of pink-hued mountains. It truly is a place of remarkable beauty.
