**Our Guesthouse is not for everyone please read carefully!**

Guest rooms have private bathrooms, high-speed WiFi and air conditioning.
We are happy to point the way to the best snorkeling or beaches, suggest kayaking or fishing trips, tours of the bioluminescent bay.

The space
Our Guesthouse rooms are located in the rear of our restaurant Bananas which sits directly across from the ocean. The restaurant and rooftop bar are open Sunday-Friday from 11AM until 9:30PM. The restaurant is closed on Saturdays currently.
We are a 15-minute taxi ride for the ferry port. The average cost is around $15-$20 depending on the company. When you arrival in Vieques, there is often several taxi's waiting at the port to pickup guests. You can either hail a taxi upon arrival or schedule one prior. We provide recommendations on taxi companies in our Guidebook that is sent after booking. A simple Google search also shows many local options to schedule with.
Please keep in mind we are a budget friendly guesthouse with the most affordable rooms on Vieques. This means we provide you with basic accommodations at a fair price with an unbeatable location to all the activities.
*This room is on the lower level in the back of our guest house. Given the tropical climate and Vieques being a remote island, insects such as cockroaches and mosquitos are widely present. We mitigate daily for these pests but at times can still find their way inside. If our staff is present on site, please let them know and they will happily assist. Mosquito repellent is highly recommended during your visit!*

Bananas Guesthouse is situated in the heart of the lively and colorful Esperanza, where the culture and spirited atmosphere of the neighborhood truly shines. This is a vibrant neighborhood, please be aware that there may be some noise from surrounding activities, which is beyond our control.

Our property is located on a popular street that runs parallel to the waterfront, much like a “main street,” with a steady flow of both foot and vehicle traffic. While this lively environment contributes to the charm and character of the location, we understand that it may not be ideal for everyone. We encourage you to read guest reviews to get a sense of the occasional street noise.
For your convenience, we will provide a reminder about potential noise both in our welcome message and once again during check-in.
Please note that cancellations due to noise during your stay will not be eligible for a refund. However, we are happy to assist you in finding alternative accommodations if necessary.
