Our yurt at Stillhouse Farm offers a private setting. Less than 5 miles from W&L+VMI. The spring fed creek can be heard from the deck along with owls, turkey, and other wildlife. Plenty of outdoor space on the deck, outdoor fireplace, and under pavilion. The high speed internet makes for an ideal getaway where you can still work, if necessary. Features reclaimed wood from 1800s log cabin that was on site.

The space
Welcome to the yurt!

With an open living and kitchen space, the yurt immediately feels open and airy upon entry.
The living room is bright with many windows and the yurt dome allowing abundant natural light. Adjoining the living space is the yurt kitchen. You will find most everything you need to cook and host during your stay.

Our yurt can sleep up to 8 guests.

The downstairs bedroom has a queen bed and a large closet with plenty of space to hangup clothes or store your luggage. A travel crib and extra linens and pillows can also be found in this closet.

Across from the downstairs bedroom is the yurt bathroom. The bathroom has a shower, toilet, and large vanity. The utility closet is also in the yurt bathroom with any cleaning supplies should you need them.

Upstairs in the loft are 2 queen beds, 1 twin pull out sofa couch, and 1 full size folding mattress. The loft is our favorite spot to sleep in and catch the moon rising through the yurt dome!

If additional sleeping beds are needed, we offer 2 child sized cots in the utility closet with clean linens to fit.

The yurt is heated and cooled by a powerful mini split system that is located in the main living room space. This unit is thermostat controlled, allowing guests to set the temperature by remote control.

While our heating system is powerful enough to keep the yurt warm on winter nights, we still love a cozy fire on a cold, winter night. Please feel free to use the wood stove if you wish on the cooler nights. All firewood is provided.

The Roku TV is set on a rolling stand that can be rolled into the living room or left in the bedroom.

Our yurt overlooks a beautiful, flowing creek in between two ridges with the barn in view. Off the deck, there is a patio with an outdoor fireplace, perfect for roasting marshmallows or star gazing. The outdoor pavilion has plenty of seating to enjoy the outdoors in the shade.

There is a second fire pit closer to the creek, for larger bon fires
