This well appointed Century Home (built in 1824) is just steps from historic Chardon Square, which features many shops and restaurants to enjoy during your visit. You will have the entire first floor of the house (1800 sq. ft.) with complete privacy, including a private entrance. Park your car and walk to the Square, grab a bite to eat, and explore. Back at the house, borrow a book to read, watch a movie or TV, and relax. This spot is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy beautiful Chardon!
The space
Welcome to Canfield House, Chardon's Premier Guest House! This historic living space includes three well appointed bedrooms, an inviting living room, cozy sitting room, a recreation room, a dedicated workspace, and kitchen for your private use. Please feel free to enjoy our large backyard during your stay. Washer and dryer are available during your stay as well. We feature an outdoor Gazebo in the backyard along with a State Park style Charcoal Grille!
Guest access
You will have the first floor of the property (1800 sq. ft.) which is entirely private. You have access to the washer/dryer located in the basement. There is a small locked office on the first floor to which you will not have access.
Other things to note
There is a resident in the second-floor apartment. She is very sweet and very respectful or our guests. She has her own private/secured entrance/exit to the property and has no access to your area, nor do you to hers. In addition, there is a private locked office within the building. The office has a separate, private entrance/exit into the property as well. If you are staying with us between Monday and Friday, you may hear people in the basement office. However, no one in the office has access to your living area and they are very respectful of our guests and their privacy. If you are staying on the weekend, there will be no one in the office.
