Peace and tranquility await you at the end of this private road surrounded by forest. My home is a log cabin with a private apartment on the lower level, which includes a patio as well as use of other outdoor spaces.
There is a fire pit just past your patio and a short path will put you on the Appalachian Trail.
As an herbalist and ethnobotanist, plants are my love and my livelihood. They are an integral part of my life and my home. I welcome you to stroll through the many gardens and paths.

The space
This is a newly renovated apartment with full bath and kitchen. Both are stocked with things for your convenience including my own body care products and supplies and tools to help you in the kitchen to create your meals. Your abode opens onto your own patio amid forest vistas and gardens. There are many spots to sit and enjoy nature as well as many paths to explore.
There is a futon couch in the living room that can open up to a full size bed. There is an additional fee of $50/day for each additional guest above 2. There are sheets in the drawers below and extra pillows/blankets in the bedroom closet. Please return the futon to its couch position after using.

The surrounding towns have a lot to offer. River towns have a certain character that dates back to when the river was the main artery of connection. You'll find many interesting shops as well as places to find good food and other interesting encounters.

Other things to note
Garrison prides itself in maintaining the rural character of our many dirt roads which make it necessary to slow down a bit and take care as you proceed.

Neighborhood highlights

World class hiking is right out your door. There is a path from your door to the Appalachian Trail-great for hiking, snow shoeing and cross country skiing. There are also many trails nearby with great vistas of the Hudson River and valley.
Paddling on the river is also a possibility. Hudson River Expeditions, a local organization, can help you with equipment as well as launching you into the river at Foundry Cove. There's so much history to explore here.
The art scene is thriving also, with many galleries in this town as well as nearby towns.
Philipstown is made up of Garrison and Cold Spring. Garrison is a bucolic town with weeping willows perched over the water, an art center, a fabulous book and print shop and a lovely restaurant right on the river. The town of Cold Spring is a lovely river town with shops and restaurants.
The town of Beacon is right up the river with more art, shops and restaurants.
