Edgewater Resort, 20 minutes from Louisville, is Taylorsville Lake's premier vacation spot, tucked away in a gated community with over 163 acres that overlooks the marina. Within walking distance you'll find a community pool (seasonal) with a sand volleyball court and a fire pit. This two-story cottage sleeps up to 10 guests and showcases a master suite with two private balconies and a jetted soaking tub. You can also hang out on the private deck out back equipped with a 4-person hot tub.
The space
This cottage is under new ownership and has had recent updates in May 2020 featuring granite countertops and a beautiful tiled backsplash in the kitchen. All flooring in the bedrooms have been updated from carpet to luxury vinyl plank. Entire cottage has been freshly painted. The hot tub outside has a brand new cover as well as the new sofa bed in the living room.
The fireplace is for looks and is not operable. We do not list this as an amenity due to this.
Please note: This resort is NOT a party-town atmosphere. Quiet hours are from 10pm until 8am. We ask that guests respect this rule and also the other guests staying in the cottages around ours.
We welcome well-behaved children.
**We welcome our furry friends but do require an additional $100 pet fee. Even if your precious pet won't make any mess, this fee goes towards a fund to pay for the wear and tear caused by pets that we wouldn't accrue if we didn't allow pets. We suggest bringing your pet a blanket or their own little bed to stay/sleep in. As you can imagine, our cleaners can spend a lot of time trying to get pet hair out of the covers and furniture between stays. Guests must alert host at the time of booking if a pet(s) will be with you or your guests.**
Please follow the hot tub rules posted outside on the fence. This will help ensure that all guests have a nice hot tub to use without any unexpected incidents.
There's a nice grilling area with a charcoal grill located off the back deck and a park like setting where you can take your chairs and hang out. We just ask you to return the chairs to the deck when finished. There's a twin bed and a trundle bed located in the bedroom to the right as well as a twin air mattress. A Pack 'N Play with a freshly washed sheet can be found in the kids' bedroom closet as well as a twin air mattress. Two twin roll-a-way beds are stored in the closet upstairs to be used anywhere you wish. An assortment of board games are available for your non-screen entertainment and located in the kids' bedroom closet.
NO BOATS/TRAILERS PAST FRONT GATE – Boat parking is located at the front, before you enter the gated portion of the community. Boats are not permitted inside the community and parking the boats/trailers are not allowed at individual cottages.
NO VEHICLES PARKED ON STREET OR GRASS – If vehicles do not fit in driveway, please park in one of the two lots, located in the front and back of the community. Parking is not permitted in yards, on the street or in common areas.
GARBAGE IN DUMPSTER ONLY – Self-explanatory, but please make sure trash fits inside the dumpster located at the front of the community. Garbage left outside the dumpster is not picked up by the trash company, causing it to sit and create a mess. Also, trash is susceptible to local animals tearing it apart and creating an even greater mess. Please don’t take up room with large items or place items next to the dumpster.
On weekends or holidays, this is especially important as the community has a higher occupancy level. Any steps or help you can deliver so that our community remains clean is appreciated.
NO FIREWORKS – For safety and consideration of other guests, fireworks are prohibited inside the community. We have guests of all types, some traveling with small children and animals. For the enjoyment of all Edgewater guests, please refrain from setting off fireworks inside the community.

The whole cottage is available for you to enjoy! If you need storage for your kayaks or canoes, there is space under the cottage.
