We are located on Sathu pradit 20 next to the church of St Joseph. There are many shops and markets nearby. Silom and the main tourist attractions and areas are 10 minutes away by taxi.
There are also pick up type buses that can be boarded anywhere on the street as well as a motorbike taxi stand on the other side of the street. Our location is in a traditional Bangkok area & there are many things of interest to see, more than just tourist sites. People watching, going to the Buddhist temple down the road that has a market every Friday or sitting down and having a coffee.
There;s plenty of street life and food stalls, This will give you a chance to see the real Bangkok.

  • Great person to meet and rent from.

  • We really enjoyed our stay at Michelle's. We were there nearly a week and being away from the tourist trail worked well for us - although we ended up getting taxis home quite a bit when out and about as it was more straight forward than negotiating public transport. We enjoyed exploring the local area and eating locally was super tasty and super cheap.

The room itself was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The only downside was the wifi which was a slow and at times quite patchy, but clearly Michelle was already onto this as there were a couple of alternative networks to choose from if one dropped out.

  • The studio was big with well thought out features and had been designed for the visitor with tlc. Very big for a studio, useful additions included, good set of towels, dvd player, micro-wave. Over all I enjoyed my stay. One tip is to take better care than me at remembering the location ie: street numbers.

  • My stay at house 1150 was great. I met some lovely, down to earth people and even though it's a little further away from the BTS, the ride there is great to soak up the daily living experiences in bangkok. The room was super clean and there is ample amount of space for one person!

  • We stayed at Michelle's for about three weeks, and enjoyed every day in Bangkok. It was not our first time in this city, but anyway these apartments are perfect for short or long stay! There is everything you may need, and Michelle is always really nice and will help you if you have any questions.
Location is great - a ride with songtew "bus" until BTS station will not take you long. Near the station you can find a shopping centre with food section, Mcdonalds, KFC, drugstore. There is also a market with local food and local clothes nearby during after dawn time. And just couple of stops by BTS - you are in centre of Bangkok, Central World etc.
There is also a big shopping mall Central Plaza within 20min walk from the house! There you can find everything you need - shopping, restaurants, cafe. Or take a taxi, it is around 45thb per ride!
And a small shop 7/11 is just across the street - you can buy drinks, some food, coffee and hot sandwiches, as well as cosmetics you need! These shops have all the basics for everyday living.
If you are in a hurry or tired, you can always reach your destination by taxi - it is very cheap, so you will not pay more than 100thb, unless it is traffic jam.
I will definitely stay here again, while coming to Bangkok! And suggest others to do so also :) you will have a great time!

  • We enjoyed having a "homebase" in Bangkok that was comfortable, neat, and spacious. In particular we appreciated the transportation info sheets that helped us move around Bangkok economically. The neighborhood was a quiet one by night, but lively come morning with a market street just a walk down the street past the Christian church and the neighborhood wat. Nice to have a convenience store just across the street for water and snacks. We were grateful for our host's responsiveness and assistance leading up to and throughout the stay.

  • Lovely apartment, I ended up being moved to a bigger one when I arrived as mine was still being cleaned, no complaints there! Wifi worked well, everything was clean and tidy. In a nice area of Bangkok not too far from the city centre. Wimonpak was easily accessible and quickly answered any questions I had. Would recommend to anyone staying in Bangkok.

  • The place isn't bad at all.
As some people mentioned, the location is a little far for Bangkok folks. My friends kept on saying, "why did you go so faaaaaar". But it really isn't that bad--15 minutes to the BTS station by taxi, about 30 minutes by local bus.
Actually, I kinda enjoyed the fact that I was in an area very few foreigners know about. Even a cab driver mentioned, how come you're here? To me that was a compliment :)
The WiFi connection can be a little spotty, and there were times when I would completely lose service, and it wouldn't come back for hours.
Other than that, the place felt pretty safe, and it even had a washer/dryer in the 2nd floor (although I didn't use it, but instead paid to have my laundry done near BTS Asok).
All in all, I would go back, although I would've preferred a more centric location.

Wimonpak Prapasrianan, this is my very long Thai name. I also have nick name, Meow or Michelle. I was born in Bangkok, lived & studied in Bangkok in my early years. My teenage years were spent in London, where I did my studies in Business. During this period of my life I took a great interest in travel, that I still have, too this day. I have traveled to many countries in Europe & Asia & wish to travel to many more as well as more exotic destinations like , Africa, South America & hopefully this year Australia. Each country has taught me valuable lessons about what it means to be friendly, give & receive hospitality & look after my fellow travellers. I hope to welcome you to my studio apartments & will happily help you with any travel queries or arrangements that you need to make. Thanks You. Michelle.
