We had a last minute dilemma with other accommodation we had 'booked'. I contacted Louisa in desperation and she was able to accommodate us. The property was as listed, although a little bit run-down, with building works going on in the back yard. However, once inside we found the home to be well equipped and comfortable, with everything we needed.
House was great - everything as described, great location and value for money. Louisa was really helpful and quick to respond with the communication and made sure we enjoyed our stay. Would definitely recommend.
The house in Walton Street was wonderfully quiet whenever we were home. It was just far enough away from the main road to make all the hustle and bustle disappear. It was also great knowing our noisy kids weren’t disturbing anyone else.
We were happy to walk to the beach and shops every day and leave the car behind.
The house, whilst fairly basic in its setup, had exactly what we needed and was very practical. Everything worked and two adults and two children were most comfortable indeed.
Myself and several friends spent a week in Cowes over New Years and were very impressed by the location of the house - which was close enough to major shops and the Cowes cafe strip and foreshore to walk, but tucked away enough to be perfectly quiet.
Communication with Louisa was always prompt, clear and lovely and we all found the house to be very cosy and complete with all supplies necessary. The coded security was especially handy for a group of independent friends: no negotiating keys!
All in all a great experience with a real home away from home vibe!
Louisa was kind enough to let a family (good friends of mine) stay in her house. I visited them during their week's stay and also stayed myself for one night.
The house was exactly as shown in its pictures and was perfect for the family who were wanting a well deserved break. Bed options were comfortable (I loved the pull out slatted bed in the loungeroom) and ample. The kitchen was well supplied with all the utensils needed and the BBQ worked well.
Cowes is a great area for visiting and there is a lot of touristy things to do. The beach was about a 5 minute drive (it is an easy walk if you're not feeling lazy) and other activity options like the wildlife park, the penguins, the chocolate factory and the Koala conservatory were enjoyed by my friends.
There was an issue with the washing machine not working (my friends decided to wash by hand for the week) and unfortunately, and very untimely, the element inside the outside hot water tank melted onto the thermostat. Louisa got an electrician in to fix it so thankfully all was fine in the end and the family had a good stay and great holiday.
