Beautiful area

Guests love this home’s scenic location.
We are delighted to share a truly remarkable retreat: a meticulously restored cabin, originally built in 1934. This exceptional property offers an opportunity to immerse oneself in nature and profound tranquility.
This cozy, secluded, and off-grid cabin is furnished with luxury amenities, modern conveniences, and a well-equipped kitchen. It's situated on 2.5 acres, with its private creek. Easily accessible via a paved road, 3 minutes to Avery, 8 minutes to Arnold, and 12 minutes to Murphys.

The space
Love Creek is a quaint 2-person cabin. You can choose to sleep in the cozy loft ( note not recommended for people with mobility issues) ; or, if you don't want to climb stairs, we have a very comfortable queen-size Murphy bed option for you. The cabin has the original 1934 stone fireplace and also propane heating. You'll find the kitchen fully stocked with plenty of cookware and dishes, as well as basic cooking supplies. The cabin has a beautiful custom slate stone bathroom and shower. It has an all wood interior from a variety of local lumber, the beautifully hand-hewn beams give it the true cabin feel. The many windows allow you to enjoy the forest views that surround you.
Outside the cabin, on the porch, chill in rocking chairs or relax in a hanging chair. You can also choose to cook outside on our outside stove to avoid cooking smells inside the cabin or BBQ just off the porch, you’ll find an outside dining area with comfortable seating.
Down by the creek across the footbridge, you can find several chill areas to hang out and relax with your favorite book or just enjoy listening to nature. Lay in a couple's hammock or dip your feet into the water off our bridge swing.
In the evenings, listen to the forest sounds under the many solar lanterns spreading their soft light into the forest.

Guest access
Guests are free to enjoy and wander the property.

Other things to note
2 Cabins on property. Owner's cabin is located across the creek up on the embankment within distant view of Airbnb guest cabin. See photo posted for visual.
We also offer a few tents for private camping guests that are at a farther distance from the cabins.

Neighborhood highlights

Love Creek Cabin has a unique location between two huge forest properties, giving it total privacy from any neighbors and the privilege of being surrounded by a mini- wilderness yet only a 3-minute drive to the closest coffee shop in Avery.
The rushing sound of the natural spring-fed creek is the central feature of the property as it rages in the winter/spring and slows to a gentle, babbling flow in summer/fall.
The Cabin is located on a paved, one lane, dead-end road that terminates into Stanislaus National Forest and Big Trees Sequoia park. It’s perfect for walking and biking creekside as the lane follows the creek and is relatively flat. In the nearby national forest down our road are spectacular vistas like McKays reservoir dam & waterfalls and Lava Cap point which also great for stargazing. The nearby Sheep Ranch road overlook often has fantastic sunsets.
In nearby Arnold is White Pines Lake for swimming, sunbathing, and picnicking, and also the Arnold Rim Trail, for hiking and horseback riding.
Want to do some high elevation wine tasting? We recommend nearby Brice Station Winery & Pottery Kilns for shopping and classes.
For dining, you have multiple options in Arnold and Murphys from casual to fine dining. We have more detailed information for our guests upon check-in. Opportunities for live music is available in both towns.
