Immerse yourself in the tranquil ambiance of nature at "Avem Haven" Tiny Cabin, nestled amongst native trees on our breathtaking 13-acre property where wildlife abounds.
This intimate retreat exudes a cozy and romantic charm, boasting a comfortable queen-size bed, a convenient kitchenette, and an outdoor bathroom tucked away in a secluded nook beneath the starlit sky.
The cabin's design prioritizes environmental consciousness, featuring a Green Loo—a waterless composting toilet.

The space
The thoughtfully designed space ensures an intimate connection with nature, offering exclusive access to the surrounding beauty.
The outdoor fire pit invites a small contained warming fire beneath the stars, creating a magical atmosphere for relaxation and contemplation {bring your own firewood logs, there are plenty of kindling on the ground for fire starting}.
Indulge in the serenity of your private large outdoor deck providing views of the mountains. Immerse yourself in the tranquil ambiance, accompanied by the soothing melodies of birds and the enchanting sight of kangaroos in the neighboring paddocks.
Inside, the cabin combines comfort and functionality. The queen-size bed provides a luxurious sleep, and the kitchenette is equipped with essentials—a small electric induction cooktop, a microwave, a toaster, and a kettle, complemented by a small fridge. Pots, pans, and a dining table for two on the deck and table and stools inside complete the setup, ensuring convenience for a delightful stay.
To enhance your experience, explore the natural flowing creek and meander through the bush and property to observe wildlife.
An electric oil heater ensures warmth and coziness indoors, creating an ideal space to unwind with a good book or enjoy the tranquility on a winter day. For warmer days, an oscillating cooler fan is provided.
For an extra touch of indulgence, opt for a 1 hour and 10 min rejuvenating Deeply Relaxing Hawiian and Aromatherapy Massage in the separate and secluded "Healing Hut" for $110 per person. Additional transformative experiences, such as Equine Assisted Learning session or Soulful Connections session for couples or a Cacao Ceremony and sound healing session for couples or a 3 hour Energy Reset and Massage, to name just a few modalities. Bookings in advance for these modalities add a layer of luxury and wellness to your stay. Contact Eloise for host and practitioner.

Guest access
The Avem Haven and its surroundings offer a secluded retreat, featuring a quaint private outdoor nook enveloped by trees, complete with an outdoor bath/shower and a fire pit. While guests are encouraged to explore the property, including a wander down to the creek and through the bush, we kindly ask that you maintain a respectful distance from other accommodations to preserve the privacy of fellow guests.

Other things to note
Please do not feed any of our animals' bread, including the horses, fish, birds, chooks or wildlife. Apples and carrots are fine though. Refrain from going into the paddock with the horses as the youngster is still in training.
Exploring the property is at your OWN RISK, as there are uneven and slippery surfaces, rolling stones, falling branches, wildlife, including snakes and spiders among sticks and leaf litter. By booking you are agreeing to our guidelines for staying on the property, you acknowledge and accept these potential hazards at your own risk, therefore the hosts have no liability for any unforeseeable accidents that you may incur.
The use of the fire pit is contingent on weather conditions, strictly prohibited during total fire bans and hot, windy summer nights. Therefore, it's crucial to consult with the hosts before lighting fires in the summer months to ensure everyone's safety and adhere to local regulations. Otherwise, you can be fined and jailed.
By making a reservation, you acknowledge that you are opting for an experience in the Australian native bush, where numerous animals, including kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, possums, birds, insects, and native marsupials, inhabit the surroundings of the cabin and may approach or enter the premises if doors are left open. It's essential to be fully conscious of this reality, so we kindly request that you refrain from expressing dissatisfaction if you hear the sounds of animals at night, experience the occasional insect bite, or come across an ant in the bath or animal droppings in the outdoor area. Such occurrences are part of life in the Australian bush.
If the prospect of these natural encounters is unsettling for you, we recommend considering alternative accommodations, such as a motel room, more aligned with your preferences. Our aim is to provide an authentic and immersive experience in the Australian bush, and your understanding of the unique environment is greatly appreciated.
