The tug is located in the Vecht on a dyke in a quiet and green environment just 15 minutes by bike from the city center. She is tastefully decorated and fully furnished. A ship is difficult to describe in a few sentences. Please see the pictures!!
There are 2 bikes and a rowing boat for guests. The overnight price includes cleaning, gas, water, eleKtra, pellets, consumables, bicycles and 6% tourist tax.

The space
The Anna is a real tugboat, with which Sinterklaas also sails through Utrecht because his steamboat cannot pass under the Utrecht bridges. Be surprised by the space and the atmosphere of yesteryear. Enjoy the tranquility on the water after bustling Utrecht.
The ship is very suitable for 2 people.

Guest access
You will come aboard with a real gangway on the back deck where a sun tent can also be stretched over in the summer. The back deck, rods, and corridors are fine to use as a terrace, and there is an outdoor sofa in the back point. There are also blankets to take out with you and a large oil lamp. From the back deck, you enter the wheelhouse, in addition to the steering wheel, there is also a kitchenette with a water pump, gas stove, mini oven and a fridge. There's a table with 3 chairs and a nice bench. With a staircase you enter the roef, there is a large pellet stove that can also heat the wheelhouse. The roef has plenty of cupboard space with shelves. The front cabinet on starboard contains novels and the front cupboard on port contains books about Utrecht and its surroundings and ships. In the roef you can also hang the hammock and relax and read in front of the stove. Halfway into the roef is the ship's cage with a mattress (1.25x2m). At the foot end is closet space with hangers. In the foreground, which can be reached from the roef, there is a ship toilet. Here you can also wash with a lampet jug. (NB there is no shower)

Other things to note
You will be personally welcomed to explain things on board. For example, the water pump, the gas stove, the pellet stove, the ship's toilet, the oil lamp, etc.
There is no shower available, but there is plenty of (drinking)water to wash you. It is possible to swim in the river next to the ship or in the nearby fort canal. Maarsseveen (4km) also has swimming water and a beautiful Spa-Sereen. Of course, there are also regular swimming pools nearby.

Neighborhood highlights

It is a quiet and green area with lots of hiking and cycling possibilities. You can see the cows past the bridge in the meadow until November! Now, 12 storks parade. The skating rink is 500 meters away and in a real winter you can also skate on the fortress and of course in the Molenpolder and on Loosdrecht. Because the Vecht does not freeze with us, many special water birds will forage.
Of course, Utrecht also has a beautiful old town that is only a few kilometers upstream. In the immediate vicinity are several nice eateries, brasseries and you can even eat at "Belle" van Zuylen.
Within a radius of 500 m there are supermarkets ( AH, Jumbo, Lidl) Butcher, Blokker, Etos, Readshop, pharmacy and various Turkish, Moroccan and Surinamese shops with bread, meat, vegetables, fruit, fish and delicacies.

My work: Architecture
I live on "de Vermaak", a former fairground ship from 1924. I bought the tugboat "Anna" in early 2005 as an extra space to live, work, chill and for lodges. Since the ship is also sailing, I also use it as a work ship for projects and for vacations. Friends told me about Airbnb and sharing your place was very appealing to me. Since then, the tugboat has been regularly available to let other people experience that staying on a real ship is very nice and I like to rent myself through Airbnb.
