Neighborhood highlights

The farm property on its own is a destination! There magnificent views, the back deck and walking/hiking paths are right out the back door!

If you want to explore the area, however there are COUNTLESS things to do, see and explore throughout the Hudson Valley and the Farmhouse is in a PERFECT location to reach so many lovely places!

Take in a double feature nearby at one of Warwick Drive-In’s three movie screens, soak up the stunning Valley views while eating homemade ice cream up the road at Bellvale Creamery, or enjoy an afternoon picking apples and eating cider donuts from one of many nearby farms and orchards (Check out Penning’s, Maskers or Apple Dave’s!). The Fall is the best time to enjoy the incredible foliage and a day playing lawn games or listening to live music at the Beer Garden at Penning’s farm market and Cidery.

If the outdoors are your thing, head over to Waywayanda State Park (over 34,000 acres including a sandy lake beach front, and miles of hiking/mountain biking trails), Thomas P. Morahan Beach on Greenwood lake (great for boat rentals, paddle boarding or kayaking), learn to ski at Mt. Peter (free group lessons on weekends!), or enjoy live music at the free Summer Concert Series in the Village of Warwick. On hot summer days, you can take a breezy half hour drive to Mountain Creek Water Park where you'll find a plethora of exciting rides and cool creek-water pools.

Wine lovers can appreciate an assortment of great wineries (Warwick Valley Winery and Distillery or Applewood winery might be your perfect oasis), while beer connoisseurs may prefer some time at Tin Barn Brewing (2 minutes away) or nearby Drowned Lands or Rushing Duck Brewing. Pang to shop? The Woodbury Commons Premium Outlets are a quick 15 minutes by car. If you’re a bit of a history or war time buff you may enjoy a trip to West Point Military Academy (26 miles) located on the banks of the Hudson River , The National Purple Heart Hall of Honor in Walden or the Harness Racing Museum and Hall of Fame where you can learn all about the sport that began right here in Goshen New York in the late 18th century.

5 minutes by car you will encounter the charming Sugar Loaf Arts and Crafts Village, 10 minutes away is Sterling Forests New York Renaissance Faire ground and 30 minutes by car will lead you to Storm King Art center, an open-air museum and possibly the largest collection of contemporary outdoor sculptures in the US is also a 30 minute drive away.

We have also developed an exhaustive “Eat & Explore” guide [based on Warwick Valley and surrounding towns within a half hour drive] which you will find quite helpful for organizing your time during your stay at Jessie's place. If you are looking for something specific and wondering if we have a particular recommendation, please feel free to shoot us a message - we're happy to help!
