The animals steal the show

Guests highlight the friendly farm animals and the hosts' warmth, with many returning for repeat stays
Try on a slice of farm life from our Barnview Bungalow. This tiny house studio is right in the middle of our functioning farm. It comes with a large covered deck with views of our young apple orchard and big red barn. If you dream of wide open spaces, big skies, and farm animal encounters this is the place for you.

Accommodations include:
A full sized memory foam bed, kitchenette with mini fridge and two stove burners, stone-floored bathroom with a large walk-in shower, and washer and dryer.

The space
This bungalow is located on a 10 acre farm growing heritage apples and pears for our cidery. The farm is also home to mini horses, sheep, ducks, guinea hens, farm dogs, farm cats and several chickens.

We use most of these animals, in one way or another, as part of the regenerative agriculture practices on our land.

We are very lucky to also have wild animals pass through including deer, hawks, owls, geese, turkeys, numerous varieties of reptiles and amphibians, and the occasional fox, coyote or bobcat.

Guest access
You will need a car for our destination. The public transportation in this area is lacking and Uber/Lyft options are non existent. We recommend driving a car that you feel comfortable in on slightly uneven terrain and country roads. In the winter you will not need chains to get to our farm, but you may need them if you plan to go to Arnold, Bear Valley or beyond.

Other things to note
We recommend no more than three people, 1-2 adults with 1-2 children. No more than 3 human beings total. There is one full bed in the rental and a pack and play available upon request. The space is tight with 3 people, but we’ve had enough guests swing it that we feel comfortable offering this as an option for those who don’t mind the close quarters.

We have a hot tub! Due to the nature of hot tub cleaning/sanitization and the number of guests we have regularly at our rental, on occasion the hot tub will need the chemicals adjusted or to be serviced. We do our best to ensure it is working during all stays, in 6 years of hosting we have only had to replace the water once while guests were here, the rest of the time we take care of the hot tub's needs outside of guest stays. It's a great place to star gaze and is tucked into an alcove right next to the rental for easy access.
