Beautiful area

Guests love this home’s scenic location.
Tullihas in the Trees is an off-grid treehouse adventure. The treehouse has no electricity, no running water, no central heating, and limited cell service. There is a composting outhouse on site and potable water is available a short distance away. The treehouse is a great place to hammock, sit around the campfire, explore trails, and unwind while glamping on a lovely wooded farm.
Sleeping bags are highly recommended during the cool months. The small propane heater will only take off the chill.

The space
The treehouse has one double bed, a single bed and two cots. We provide sheets for the double bed and single bed, however it is highly recommended that you bring a sleeping bag and pillows. If you plan to use the cots, you will need to bring your own bedding.
There is a single burner propane stove, and a camp percolator coffee pot. There is also a small propane heater for the cold months to take off the chill.
The treehouse is situated on a 230+ acre farm which is available for exploring and hiking all spring and summer long. Restrictions apply October and November.

Guest access
To access the treehouse, we give you the address for the mailbox directly across from the treehouse. When you put that address in your GPS it takes you right there! You park right out front of the treehouse.
This is the country, which means dirt roads and no streetlights.

Other things to note
Remember: this is a treehouse with no electricity and no running water. This means, we do not have a shower, no air conditioning, no central heat, and no refrigerator. The potable water is available on the farm. Guests are welcome to build campfires in the ring. We provide you with one double memory foam mattress, one single memory foam mattress, and a two cots. Hammocking is strongly encouraged. Think of it as Glamping. :)

- In the cooler months, bring warm bedding/sleeping bags. The propane heater is intended to take off the chill - but it will still be cool. We supply you with extra propane tanks, located in the cedar chest. They last for about 8 hours on low. Instructions for using the heater are in the guest manual. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us.

- We do spray for bugs - but it is a treehouse, therefore be prepared to meet an occasional fly, spider, ladybug or wasp, as they think the treehouse is super cool too!

- Guests are free to hike the trails, explore the woods, creeks, and farmland from December to October. Some restrictions apply October and November.

EXPECT:
– Ladybugs on your pillow, and the occasional cricket if you’re lucky. Please watch out for wasps—they seem to like the treehouse too.
– The noisy Amish cows and goats that will work better than an alarm clock.
– A million stars, and even more birds.
– The opportunity to walk out your door to the stream and watch wildlife. (Literally a few steps away).
– To be treated like a houseguest, not a renter.
– No cell phone service. (You can always walk up the hill to make a call).
– Campfires, hiking trails, nearby fishing, swimming, etc.
– The best hammocking (yes, this is a verb) in all of Ohio.
– A sunset view that will take your breath away.

Neighborhood highlights

Situated next door to an Amish farm, the treehouse is nestled along a dirt road (great for four wheeling), and beside a small creek. It sits at the edge of our 240 acre farm. Be prepared to hear an occasional rooster, cows, sheep, the clip clop of an Amish buggy, and in the summer months, an occasional ATV driving along the dirt road. Tullihas in the Trees is in the country. There is a small creek behind the treehouse.

I’m Carol! My husband, Von, and I live on our family farm where we raised our two daughters! I’m a Cincinnati native, but I love living in the country where I am surrounded by more farms, beautiful woods, and a thriving Amish community. We love the outdoors, exploring, and meeting new people. We have been working to create trails and campsites on the farm so that others can come and enjoy the beautiful Ohio countryside!
