What makes my home unique: Brewing large baths, saunas, and old sake breweries
We are a volunteer in Mitoyo City, Kagawa Prefecture. Mitoyozu is a sake brewery that was originally founded in 1877, but it has been vacant since it was closed in 2005. The first time we saw this building was in 2019.It was a short time ago that it was about to be demolished as a dangerous house. Sake breweries were once the symbols of the area. The first time we saw this building, we were overwhelmed by its beautiful appearance, and it felt like a sense of loss that the building that had ended its role would overlap with our contradictions living in the modern world. “It's a tip to reconnect with this brewery that connects the past, present, and future.” We decided to take over Mitoyo Tsuru as a space to “brew” the new value of the area as a space for “brewing”.And after pre-opening as an event space in 2019, we started operating as a property in 2020. We want you to enjoy the historic vibe of this space.
