The “Old Glenroy Dairy” cottage is located in the heart of the Mary Valley and Sunshine Coast Hinterland, Kenilworth. The dairy was originally built in the early 1920’s and has been lovingly restored to retain its history and character with furnishings which celebrate the era that it was built. The cottage is private and boosts gorgeous views of the property with cows grazing close by. It's a perfect place to relax and unwind with Kenilworth township only a short distance away.
The space
The “Old Glenroy Dairy” is a studio styled space with a separate bathroom . The cottage has a queen-sized bed and a two seater lounge and has the most wonderful outdoor hot/cold shower.
The cottage is a perfect couple’s retreat which is a private setting with beautiful linen, Comfy bed, Outdoor & Indoor games its a great spot for you to relax and unwind with spectacular country views.
The dairy is comfortably furnished with everything you will need for your stay including a stunning claw foot bath ( please see photos )and furnishings from yesteryear. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances and has everything you will need for your home away from home stay.
If you love the ambience of an outdoor fire, then the fire pit will be the perfect way to relax and enjoy. The original bales of the dairy have been carefully restored and come together with a large under cover outdoor entertainment area.
Old wagons and memorabilia from yesteryear surround the cottage which are perfect back drops for photos for lasting memories.
Most mornings you are welcomed with a misty view over the River flats which meet the beautiful Mary river. The dairy sits close to several large fig trees which are full of bird life, and wildlife can be seen meandering through the property. Each afternoon you will be left with a stunning sunset into the Imbil state forest.
Prime Location
The charming historic town of Kenilworth is less than 1km away where you will find it's historic pub, iconic cheese factory and world famous bakery. From Kenilworth, you can take scenic drives to Eumundi (32 km), home to the world-renowned Eumundi Markets, or Maleny (42 km), with its stunning views and boutique shops.
Recreational activities can be found within a short drive from Kenilworth, these include Charlie Mooreland, Booloumba Creek and Little Yabba Fig Tree walk.
We are a working beef cattle property with cattle grazing close to the dairy. We do not mind if you take photos but would prefer if you did not interact with the animals in there paddocks but pats are most welcome over the fence.

The cottage is air-conditioned.
There is no wi-fi at the dairy, but we do have full mobile service.
All linen is provided.
Fire Pit – timber available for purchase , Cook plate is provided for cooking over the fire.

Picnics are a favourite for proposals and those extra special occasions - $250 which includes a deluxe platter- Seasonal and weather dependent.
