Cockles Farm is a family business and is run and manged by two generations. I live on site with my husband and two children in one property and my Mum and Dad live just across the lane in another. My Dad, my brother and I all have backgrounds in property and land management. The land has been owned by our family for over 40 years and we love living here. We have decided to share the stunning location with guests and have renovated the farm bungalow to a high specification to offer a comfortable and relaxing stay. We also have chickens and ducks and therefore offer fresh farms eggs as well as homegrown veg. You may also be lucky to encounter our resident Peafowls, George and Josephine who can often be spotted enjoying a wander around the fields with their four children in tow. We manage the fields and properties ourselves and rarely hire in contractors unless we absolutely have to. I clean the inside of the bungalow whilst my dad and brother undertake the garden maintenance. We are keen to be as environmentally friendly as possible and have drafted up some car free sustainable travel trips that you can embark on if you should choose which we hope you will enjoy. They will take you to some of the most scenic locations in our vicinity. You will also have access to the 6 acre field which is next to the bungalow which is great for a spot of family cricket, rounders or a relaxing picnic. We hope you enjoy your stay!
