The coach house is exactly as Gilly has described. Beautiful cottage in the irish country side. If you are arriving at night I'd recommend printing the directions as it can be difficult to find and phone/cell reception is quite bad so no (website hidden) maps.
The views in this area are breathtaking and it is quite remote. It felt a bit like a dream come true to stay in this adorable stone cottage. It is just as described in the pictures. I would, however, suggest that you bring all that you will need for your time there since running to the store for food items etc. will be difficult to do especially after dark.
Great location about 5 minutes from a beautiful beach. Gilly was very welcoming and the house is very cute, nice comfortable bed, lovely views. Highly recommended.
This farm guesthouse was not just charming, it changed the whole pace of our Ireland vacation -- taking us off the tourist treadmill long enough to catch our breath and remember what really matters. We arrived on a rainy night with jangled nerves from a long day of traveling, and let the fire and a bottle of wine warm us.
This is far off the beaten path, and a 20 minute drive to Clonakilty on narrow roads, but the scenery is breathtaking and vibe cannot be beat.
Gilly was a delightful host, very accommodating and welcoming. Freshly laid eggs for breakfast as a welcome and a lovely cottage with Mezzanine level bedroom and open fire. Had a great restful and peaceful weekend with great walks and beautiful scenery .....
Sleigh Bed worth a particular mention - I am 6'2 and I was able to sleep without touching the edges so it was fantastic, the most comfortable bed I've slept in for ages.......
My partner and I had a wonderful two days in west cork staying in the gorgeous coachhouse. It was very cosy reading by the wood fire and we loved hearing the strong winds while sleeping in the loft room. The sleigh bed was extremely comfortable! Gilly was a welcoming host. We must go back in the summer and swim in the gorgeous Dunworley beach that's only a minute stroll away. Recommended!
It was quite a perfect week we had ! This place is magic, & Gilly is a magician !
Gilly was a gracious host. The stone cottage was lovely as was the setting. We would highly recommend Gilly and her coach house to other travellers.
