Airstream 'Glamping' in Andalucia!

Camper/RV - Entire home/apt · Alozaina, Andalusia 29567, Spain

The Space

is a Christopher Deem Limited Edition.

Set in the beautiful mountain range 'Sierra de las Nieves' in Southern Spain - this is an outdoor adventure you're not likely to forget!!

Offering all the comforts of home with the luxury of a 5 star hotelroom - the airstream is an oasis of luxury in the middle of Nature. Modelled on the original 1930's classic, she's the perfect combination of retro nostalgia and contemporary design. The interior is sleek and stylish, and is equipped with everything you could possibly need to enjoy your glamping experience to the full. Facilities include: fully fitted kitchen with oven/hob/microwave/fridge-freezer; shower room with wc & washbasin; bedroom with cosy double bed; dining area; living area with comfy sofas and flat-screen TV/DVD; i-pod/i-phone docking station, CD player with surround-sound stereo; Wi-Fi internet access; and air con and heating. But perhaps the 'cherry on the cake' is the outdoor plunge pool - the ultimate in glamorous camping!! Laying in the pool or next to it on a warm summer's night as you gaze at the stars is a memory which is sure to remain..

The airstream is perfectly suited both for singles and couples - and provides the ideal setting for romantic or solitary retreat. The surrounding scenery is stunning, and there are plenty of nature trails and treks to be explored. Owner Trevor lives close by, and is always happy to lend a hand with trip planning and advice etc.

A 20 minute walk down the mountain track will lead to the nearby village of 'Alozaina' - a typically Spanish 'pueblo blanco' which has retained much of its rustic charm. Life is slow here, and not to be rushed! There are several tapas bars, cafes, and a couple of decent restaurants, as well shops and even a small supermarket.

Further afield, there is much to explore. Nearby excursions include the historical town of Ronda - and the oldest bullring in Spain, the elegant city of Malaga, Seville, Marbella & jet-setting Puerto Banus, and the picturesque 'pueblo blanco' of Ojen. Car hire is essential in order to fully enjoy the area.

If you have any questions about the glamping experience, or the airstream itself - please ask. I have a good knowledge of the local area, and a deep love for the mountain - affectionately known to the locals as 'magic mountain'! You'll understand why when you visit - there is indeed something special and perhaps even magical about this place, just waiting to be discovered...

I look forward to hearing from you!

Warm regards,

  • Always wanted to stay in an Airstream but never thought i'd find one in Spain! The airstream is located outside the village of Alozaina, Malaga is less than an hour away. Keep in mind it's quite a drive up the hill so don't rent the cheapest car available. You can buy groceries at the local supermarket Dia, but Trevor had food available in the Airstream as well. One of Trevor's dogs kept us company during our entire stay and we enjoyed playing with him. Unfortunately we had some bad weather during our stay so we couldn't really explore the area. Nevertheless we enjoyed the peace and quiet of this place.

  • Had an absolutely amazing time in Andalucia staying here. Such an amazing place to stay and Trevor was an excellent host. Its in a great location within easy driving distance of the likes of Ronda and Marbella should you wish to take any day trips. The area its in is absolutely beautiful with spectacular scenery all around. One suggestion I would make is should you be taking a hire car is to maybe go with a reasonably powerful engine in as small a car as you can get away with. The area is pretty hilly/mountainous and also driving through some of the towns can be a bit tight. We had a 1.2 diesel VW Polo and we could have done with a bit more power on the odd occasion.
Overall would absolutely recommend you make a visit to the Airstream in Alozaina. Definitely a bit different to the norm, in the best possible way. :)

  • Our two day experience with the Airstream was amazing! It's a bit of a drive up the mountain, but Trevor guided us on his quad. It is amazingly quiet, you can really enjoy the peace and quiet of nature and luxury of glamping. The small pool is perfect on a lazy day to cool of. Together with the dog and cats you feel alone on your own little mountain place. Alozaina is really quiet, but a supermarket is close by and with a car you can enjoy driving through the Sierra de las Nieves with all the cute villages with white houses. Thanks Trevor for the full fridge, because we arrived on a Sunday and supermarkets were closed! That was really thoughtful of you! Anka & Marc

  • Our week in Alozaina in the Aistream was a very very good experience !!! Trevor is a very nice host, available and very friendly !
This place is just a little paradise on earth !! Nothing is missing, the little swimming pool is very appreciate in August, the Aistream is very kind to live...
We were in motorcycles and all the roads around are crazy and beautiful. There is a lot of things to see near Alozaina (Ronda, Ardales and his lake, Marbella.....).
We will come back for sure !!

  • Trevor was a great host, he met up with us and directed us up into the mountains to the trailer. The airstream is everything and more than you get from the pictures. We had a great day trip out to the turquoise lakes and Ronda the following day. The puppy/dog Henry often pops by just to say 'hi'. We had a great stay, if only it was closer to home (cape town) cause we would definitely come back.

  • Trevor was an amazing host. This was probably the best and most interesting airbnb experience we've had. The place is fantastic and situated in the base of the Andalucian mountains. The nearby towns and hiking opportunities made this trip fantastic.

    Response from Trevor:

Thats very kind Ashley and much appreciated. I wish you well for the future and hope that we can meet again sometime. Abrazos por tu familia tam bien.

  • We (young family with two children) stayed in Trevors Airstream in December. The experience was everything that we expected and even better. A little adventurous, very calm and tranquil. Cosy and at the same time luxurious because the Airstream is equiped with everything we needed.
Having a barbecue on the tarace outside unterneath the stars just a few days before Christmas is truely something very special for us - being from Germany where is must be freezing now.
Trevor was very helpful with tips and it was very interesting talking to him. We are looking forward to his next project on the mountain (a Thai-style house) which will hopefully be available for guests soon...

And a message to everybody who puts the Airstream to the wishlist: Go there! It is worth it. We'd always come again and maybe stay even longer than this time.

My name is Trevor and I shall be your host for the duration of your stay in the Airstream. We are situated 3 kilometres outside of a small Spanish white pueblo named Alozaina, just 2000 souls, its a taste of real Spain, quiet and honest and our living location on the mountain is idyllic, peaceful and restful and far away from the humdrum world of distractions and confusion. Here is the perfect place to discover coherence and clarity whilst at the same time enjoying the luxury of residing in this classic American Icon, the Airstream! I first discovered inland Spain in 1999, its a world away from the Costas and my attraction to it was immediate, so much so that my choice has been to re-locate myself here permanently and I moved over lock, stock and barrel in 2006. As a well travelled person I can honestly say that the quality of life here has far exceeded my expectations, whilst still being only two hours from the U.K. All places are unique and Andalucia being at the southernmost tip of the Iberian Peninsular is especially different, it does of course enjoy more sunshine hours than anywhere else in Europe and culturally the blend of moorish and spanish influences has given it a rugged and dare I say unpolished finish which to me is extraordinarily attractive. Add to that the passion of flamenco and the gypsy influence which took 6000 years to travel from India to the peninsular and you have a melting pot of cultural fusions resulting in what we now know and call "Andalucia", which literally translated is given as 'walk in light'. I have spent my life in the service industry and here I am once again engaging in the activity, because it is my joy and that which I have I choose to share. I believe that I have created a really unique venue which is very definitely in the glamping category and if you are looking for a vacation with an 'edge' . Something different which will stimulate and challenge then I think you may have just stumbled upon the right page. I look forward to being your host and I look forward to meeting you. In anticipation Trevor.
