A vacation in our former rectory will take you back in time with all the comforts of today. Until 1974, the building (built in 1870) was used as a rectory, then taken over by our parents and regularly renovated to this day. Our decor testifies to taste and an eye for detail. You live in the house alone and can use the beautiful garden with seating, sun loungers, parasols and garden cottages.

The space
Our rectory includes four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a separate toilet, kitchen, a cozy living-dining area, and a games/study room with desk. Hiking maps, hiking guides and historical literature about Bad Wildungen are available.

Where you’ll be

Bad Wildungen, Hessen, Germany

The small district of Odershausen, which belongs to Bad Wildungen, has a very lively club life with its approx. 1,300 inhabitants. The lively museum is worth a visit. The local baker offers all kinds of baked goods. Hikers love the direct access at the house to the National Park/Nature Park Kellerwald - Edersee. Hiking maps and all available books from the region are available in the house. To swim on Lake Edersee, you can drive for about 15 minutes or a little longer by bus. Bad Wildungen with its spa architecture, beautiful shops, museums, cafes and gastronomic offerings can be reached on foot in about 40 minutes via the beautiful Helenental with its small waterfall, where valley ditches and Sonderbach meet. In the historic centre of Bad Wildungen you should visit the city church and the famous altar of the Conrad von Soest. Do you find his self-portrait as an apostle with the first depiction of glasses? Then head to the castle or through Europe's largest spa park to the Waldelhalle!

Willkommen in Bad Wildungen Odershausen.

During your stay

Kristin: "When my parents had to leave the house of my childhood, one thing was clear to me: I wanted to show this special house, the garden of my childhood, to other people and make it available for the most beautiful days of the year."
Bernhard: "Since I first saw the old rectory, I have been fascinated by its atmosphere, location at the national park and the people who inhabited it. I have been happily married to the house's daughter for many years and look forward to hosting our future guests. "
We love the surrounding nature, culture, and literature. That's why our rectory is also equipped with so many books. And thanks to my work as a bookseller, more and more are being added. The trained landscape gardener and current primary school teacher is always concerned about the fantastically beautiful garden and the lovingly equipped play area of the nursery on the first floor of the rectory. Being passionate travelers ourselves, we know what holidaymakers want for an unforgettable time. Our guesthouse is equipped as if we had lived in it until recently. We live nearby and are always at your disposal.
