Room in a home

Your own room in a home, plus access to shared spaces.
Elliott Manor is located in the historic district of Dover-Foxcroft, Maine. Built in 1870 by Wainwright Cushing for his only son, Caleb, as a wedding gift. This beautiful home overlooks the Piscataquis River and is within walking distance to restaurants, Maine’s famous Whoopie Pie Festival and just a few miles from Sebec Lake and Peeks Kenny. Hiking, kayaking, ATV, snowshoeing, you name it, we’re only minutes away from the perfect place to do it.

The space
Why did they name mattress sizes after royalty? We don’t know but we think they had this room in mind. The Queen’s Room features a bespoke window seat that will have you daydreaming of floating down the river. The queen bed invites you to climb in and may never let you go. With plenty of storage and room to spread out, this room is just waiting for its next royal visitor. The Queen’s Room shares an immaculate bath that has specific space reserved for each room to store your personal items.

Guest access
As a guest at Elliott Manor, you’ll have run of the house. Why not take your morning coffee out to the front porch or barn deck and listen to the loons in the morning? Keep your eyes open for the local dear. The kitchen is yours to bake, cook, or just grab any of the goodies that your hosts provide. The refrigerator has plenty of room to store your groceries or left-overs. Enjoy the treats from your welcome basket in the cozy room. Take a conference call in the main room. Or work all day in the sun room. At any time, wander out to the firepit and soak in the beautiful trees and sound of the river. The lawns are ready for you to play corn hole or ladder ball and remember the joy of a game with friends. With plenty of space to spread out for privacy and Wi-Fi strong enough to support everyone, Elliott Manor is a place to get things done while staying in a home that you can easily feel is yours. We are proud to offer locally sourced, high-quality groceries and treats. We think you’ll love them too.
