Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • Fantastic Trullo accommodation a 10 minute drive outside Cisternino in beautiful countryside surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. Anna's mother Tonia was there to meet us and with many hand gestures and smiles we were introduced to the delightful trullo. The large lounge and bedroom were both comfortable rooms and the kitchen and bathroom were well equipped. A lovely basket of goods awaited us and the fridge was stocked with orange juice, milk and wine. There are patios both front and back with table, chairs and sun-loungers and a barbeque area. By October the evenings were getting chilly after beautiful sunny days and temperatures of 26 degrees but the efficient central heating kept us nice and warm. As a base to explore the lovely hill towns nearby it was perfect. Our favourite, Martina Franca was a 15 minute drive away, but Locorotonda and Alberobella are also close by. Overall we'd have no hesitation in recommending Anna's trullo. The directions for getting there look complicated but just follow them and it's no problem.

Anna was a perfect host, the trullo very cozy, and our stay simply perfect! Highly recommended!

  • Ooooooh, what a wonderful and welcoming place! We loved Annas trullo, the sunny terrace with all the colorful springflowers and the silence of the nature so much! The house is perfectly equipped. Also Anna and her mother Tonia have contributed to make our stay a perfect holiday. They were so nice and hospitable! It's obvious that the really want their guests to enjoy their stay and have everything they need - perfect hosts.
We stayed in the trullo for one week at the beginning of may. The house always had a comfortable climate and we slept very well in the beautiful sleeping room. Every morning the sun greeted us through the curtains of the terrace door :-)

The location is a great starting point for many places to see in Apulia. It was a nice experience to visit the farmer's market in Cisternino, which takes place every monday morning. Further highlights were Ostuni, Castel del Monte, Matera and a quick bath in the sea.

Thank you so much, Anna and Tonia! Your trullo and your hospitality were amazing! Speriamo di rivedervi!

  • Amazing experience! Excellent place, clean, elegantly furnished and in the perfect position to enjoy the charming Itria valley (Cisternino, Ostuni, Martina Franca and so on). Anna and her mother are very friendly, warm and helpful. Absolutely recommended!

  • Perfetto il posto.
The house is located in an area that creates a pleasant feeling. The host family is hospitable, friendly and lovely people. A lot of talk and laugh. The house is good, all that is needed. Possibly a bit cold but it may be that we got there in the spring. Our experience has only been positive and I miss Anna and her family already. They have the most delicious olive oil and egg-don't forgot to buy! Then they make the best coffee :)

  • A charmingly landscaped, lovingly restored trullo set in a peaceful, hilly farming community just outside of Cisternino. Yet its convenient location made traveling by car to Alberobello, Martina Franca, Ostuni and beyond quite easy. Anna and her mother, Tonia, are very friendly, welcoming hosts who helped to show us our trullo and provided homemade pastry and jam, along with coffee, juice, milk for our morning breakfast. The dinner we had at the nearby Ristorante Sant'Anna in Cisternino, was our favorite in our entire two-week tour of southern Italy.

Anna is very knowledgeable about the area, and the history of the trulli. She and her mother shared 'before and after' photos of the restoration of theirs. The trullo is very clean and well-stocked for cooking. Early April was a beautiful time of year to visit with flowering almond and peach trees, iris in bloom and the warmth of the sun on our faces as we sat on our private terrace.

  • We stayed only 1 night at Anna's Trullo - and it was amazing ! So cute, so romantic - with a fireplace in the living room. However it was winter, the Trullo was cozy and warm. Very clean, with many authentic items and furniture inside. Anna was very kind and helpful, responsive and flexible. Tonia, her mother, who welcomed us, was a superhospitable woman, smiling and showing us around - so enthusiastic, you can feel yourself at home immediately with her. She has left for us even home made marmalade with some cakes - and made us sure we were comfortable. A great and real experience - wanting to return back ! Thank you Tonia and Anna !

  • Il trullo e' ben arredato, pulito e spazioso.

  • It was a great experience waking up in the middle of this beautiful land, expecially since we arrived at night !

It is very calm and yet not that far from Cisternino where you can find everything you need to enjoy the night. We recommend Martina Franca for sightseeing, and a little further Torre Guaceto for the see !

The Trullo is clean and pretty and keeps quite cool inside even though it is hot outside.

The Zizzi's are a very welcoming family and Tonia's cuisine is realy good. You also might want to ask Marco to taste his wine...

We higly recommend this place if you want to rest far form tourists and yet not to be far from everything.

Hi! I'm Anna and the one with me in the pic is my mum Tonia. After some years spend in different european cities, I decided to come back home and work in this area. At the moment I'm living in the cottage close to our trulli therefore if you have questions, you need something or you just wanna have a chat and drink a coffee/glass of wine, I'm there. My parents live at about 100 meters from the trulli and we are a big family, we love animals and we have no prejudice at all. Feel free to get in contact with us and we will be glad to let you spend a wonderful holiday.
