Fabulous trullo! Wonderful owners- very attentive, super easy to communicate with ( Anna has perfect English, and lives next to the trullo). Amazing location in countryside/rolling hills outside Cisternino- 10 min drive. Car is essential! Two apartments in the same house- we rented the smaller one, perfect for a couple. Very spacious. Separate bedroom with double bed, great sitting room with dining table and comfy sofa. Very good kitchen- great pots and pans! Good bathroom though shower cubicle is a bit cramped, and definitely not good for very big/large people. Great water pressure. Private sitting areas in front and back- table and chairs in both. No air conditioning. Apartment can be aired out brilliantly by leaving both frontvand back doors open. Nice draft! We stayed in Aug. Cooled off nicely at night. The other, larger (2 bedroom) apartment is completely amazing: beautiful vine covered pergola with a view, lovely big kitchen, bathroom with bath, lovely garden/ patio. Area is perfect for sightseeing and beach! Anna has great restaurant recommendations! Great food market on Monday mornings in Cisternino.
In July 2014 we spent a wonderful week at I Sette Coni - Trullo Edera. The trullo was exactly as advertised and everything we had dreamt of. The trullo is cosy, well equipped and we especially loved the secluded little garden. It is situated 5 minutes by car from Cisternino in quiet and beautiful surroundings with lots and lots of olive trees, almond trees, vine and rows of tomatos. As others have mentioned: A car is absolutely a must.
What really make this place stand out, however, is the host. Anna and her family are extremely open minded, welcoming and warm hearted. Always ready to help with practical information about the local area as well as info about local life in general. As non-italian speakers it was of great value that Anna is fluent in English and we really enjoyed our walks with her in the area where we got to know more about the history and customs of the area, how olives are harvested and processed, how to enjoy fresh almonds from the trees and lots more. We quickly came to see her as a friend more than anything else. Annas mum, Tonia and dad, Marco do not speak English, but that really didn't make much of a barrier for communication. They are both very smiling and forthcoming and with gestures and mimics and italian Words, which were not aware that we knew, it was very possible to have meaningful and enjoyable conversations. Every now and then Tonia dropped by with small homemade treats: A bunch of eggs or a handful of tomatos, a bottle of olive oil and not least a wonderful tasty freshly baked foccacia.
We can whole heartedly recommend Annas trulli to anyone looking to experience the Heart of Puglia. Don't forget to book well in advance because this is becoming a popular place and we fully understand why. Actually were we were considering not leaving good recommandations, as we know it will make it even harder for us booking this place in case we want to come back .. which we are sure we will :-)
Thank you to Anna and her family for welcoming us to Trullo Edera. We had a very relaxing time and it was the perfect way to unwind after travelling through Rome and the Amalfi coast. Lovely setting, close to a number of towns and beaches. Highly recommend! The homemade olive oil was amazing and the local food was so fresh! Sophie is still talking about the figs! Thank you for having us and we hope to be back in Italy soon.
We stayed at Trullo Edera in June 2014. It is situated a few minutes drive from the local town, down narrow country lanes. The Trullo has been beautifully restored using traditional methods and is pretty, charming, well-equipped and very comfortable. Anna was most helpful and patient, answering all our questions and making lots of useful suggestions about where to go and what to see.
The area is lovely; we especially enjoyed Matera, and walking round the delightful "centro storico" in the local towns. Evening is the best time to visit, when the heat of the day has past. Not surprising that the locals choose this time for their "passiagata", and we spent several hours people-watching in the pavement cafés and restaurants. All in all, an experience "da non mancare".
Fantastic Trullo accommodation a 10 minute drive outside Cisternino in beautiful countryside surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. Anna's mother Tonia was there to meet us and with many hand gestures and smiles we were introduced to the delightful trullo. The large lounge and bedroom were both comfortable rooms and the kitchen and bathroom were well equipped. A lovely basket of goods awaited us and the fridge was stocked with orange juice, milk and wine. There are patios both front and back with table, chairs and sun-loungers and a barbeque area. By October the evenings were getting chilly after beautiful sunny days and temperatures of 26 degrees but the efficient central heating kept us nice and warm. As a base to explore the lovely hill towns nearby it was perfect. Our favourite, Martina Franca was a 15 minute drive away, but Locorotonda and Alberobella are also close by. Overall we'd have no hesitation in recommending Anna's trullo. The directions for getting there look complicated but just follow them and it's no problem.
Il trullo é senz'altro bello e la valle d'Itria affascinante. Anna é gentilissima e assai disponibile. Se proprio si vuole trovare una pecca, forse l'arredamento potrebbe essere un po' rinnovato. In ogni caso: consigliato!

Hi! I'm Anna and the one with me in the pic is my mum Tonia. After some years spend in different european cities, I decided to come back home and work in this area. At the moment I'm living in the cottage close to our trulli therefore if you have questions, you need something or you just wanna have a chat and drink a coffee/glass of wine, I'm there. My parents live at about 100 meters from the trulli and we are a big family, we love animals and we have no prejudice at all. Feel free to get in contact with us and we will be glad to let you spend a wonderful holiday.
