In the Belgian Ardennes in Barvaux, near Durbuy, this newly built chalet ‘t Gobke is located in a quiet cul-de-sac with many amenities and charging station. It can accommodate 10 guests, with or without children.
The chalet features an open kitchen, dining and sitting area, 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 separate toilets and games area.
There are two beautiful golf courses nearby, a fifteen-minute drive away: Five Nations and Golf Durbuy. Highly recommended for the avid golf enthusiast.
The space
The house consists of a large ground floor with a spacious kitchen in which it is pleasant to cook, with all modern appliances and sufficient tableware to eat and cook on the stove or in the oven. A regular coffee maker, Senseo and Nespresso are provided. Thanks to the 6-meter-high ceiling, it is pleasant to stay in the spacious and bright living room with dining and sitting area. From this room, you also have access to the first separate toilet.
The many windows provide direct contact with the garden and terrace. The chalet is built with energy efficiency in mind. In this room, you will also find 2 heat pumps that provide you with a pleasant temperature during every season.
On the top floor, there are two separate bedrooms: 1 room with a double bed (1.8x2m) and 1 children's room with two single beds, a bunk bed and a baby bed. Also here, is a changing pad and baby bath. The modern bathroom with sink and walk-in shower offers you all the necessary comfort. In the cozy playroom, there is an extra double sofa bed, TV with Wii and toys. Adjacent to this room, there is a balcony outside with comfortable chairs on the sunny side. Smoking is not allowed in the chalet, but this covered balcony is available for this purpose.
From the living room, you can reach the downstairs floor with 2 bedrooms with double beds (1.8x2m). There is a second functional modern bathroom with sink and walk-in shower and a separate toilet.
All the bedrooms have comfortable box spring mattresses, down duvets and pillows. Bedding and linens are to be provided by yourself. All sleeping areas have a window that can be darkened at night and individual heating.
Outside is a grassy square and a large terrace with a dining table. There is a petanque court as well as the balls, and there is a lockable storage room where you can also place bicycles. Children can enjoy themselves to their heart's content in our fully fenced woods. On the terrace, you can find the BBQ and fire basket.
In the chalet, there is an information folder with an overview of walks, bike rides, activities and attractions in Durbuy and the wider area. But even if the weather is bad, it is wonderful to stay inside the cottage. For the children, toys and 2 TVs are available as well as a Nintendo Wii & Proximus TV. There are also books and games available for adults. The entire chalet and garden have WiFi connection.
Guest access
The entire chalet and surrounding estate of more than 1000m² is available for you. In front of the chalet, there is a parking space for at least 4 cars. A unique access code will be sent before departure. You can enter this on the keypad to the left of the door. When leaving the house, always push the triangle.
Other things to note
Electric cars are definitely welcome and can use our charging station for free.
The chalet has 3 floors. The stairs up and down have a raised railing, safety gates and balustrade for the safety of the smallest guests.
