Brunno was an extremely helpful, charming and attentive host. My Brazilian friends were very lively and he entered into the spirit of their craziness making the stay good fun. He oriented us very well as to the history of the property and area. He introduced us to people in the town. We all had a meal together on the last night which was very nice. It was very much an 'adventure' choice of location and we much enjoyed learning about his rock-house project.
There are no words to describe how incredibly wonderful this experience has been! Marilidia and Bruno are so sweet and accommodating, the meals prepared were excellent (squash and lemongrass picked from their garden) , and the beauty of their charming home can not be captured by mere pictures. They go beyond great service, and are genuinely sincere about making sure you have everything you need. They even made sure we were able to find a driver to get back! We had the experience of a lifetime there! Every detail of the space reflects just how much their lives and intentions are interwoven with the nature of the village. They are wonderful people and I enjoyed getting to know the family as much as getting to know the attractions! They gave great directions and recommendations for the most beautifully breath-taking places nearby. I can't wait until I'm able to return again. So grateful for the opportunity to stay there!
My time here was nothing short of amazing. The people here were extremely hospitable and treated us like family. Every morning we were served an incredible breakfast. They provided us with good insight as to what to do in the area, and helped us do anything we needed. They are connected to the village and the nature of Igatu, and lived and breathed with the mountain. Our room was more than comfortable, the pictures do not do it justice. I can not wait to go back. Igatu and this family have left an impression on me that I will carry with me forever. The most incredible place I have ever been.
