Situated in a hundred year old olive grove, with spectacular views of the Provençal countryside. Renovated in 2012, our home has 7 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms sleeping 18 people total. Including a master bedroom with ensuite, luxurious swimming pool, large open kitchen, entertainment area, BBQ, pétanque. 3 x Tennis courts across the road, top PGA golf course, and luxury destination spa nearby at Domaine de Terre Blanche.

The space
Our home is large and well spaced out making it suitable for guests of all ages and comfortably sleeps 18 people. You can easily designate one end of the house for children for those travelling in family groups if you so choose. Parents can also choose to have their young children sleep in their room by using one of the larger rooms with fold out couches. Adults can not only find private areas to relax but also regroup in the main living dining area for meals, discussion and socialising. Permanent WiFi ADSL is available. The pool operates from May to September (unless otherwise requested in advance), and is conveniently set at the bottom of the garden so that those taking their afternoon siesta will not be disturbed by any noise coming from that area. There is also plenty of shade in the garden and around the pool for those adults set to supervise their children's activities in the pool.

Our home is situated only 5 minutes drive from the village of Callian, a beautiful perched village with some areas dating back to the 11th century! The walk down the hill to the village is very pleasant, but be prepared for the very "sporty" walk back up again! Across the road from our home (less than a minute walk) are the municipal tennis courts where you pay a minimal fee into an honesty box and book your space accordingly on the board. Late mornings you'll even catch the locals enjoying a Pastis after their game. If you are a golfer, 10 minutes drive takes you to two of Europe's finest golf courses, situated at the Terre Blanche Hotel Spa and Golf Resort. There is also a beautiful spa to enjoy aswell. While in the area you should also visit the villages of Tourrettes, Seillans and Montauroux for their historic and picturesque qualities but also for their local dining options. We are also situated 20 minutes from Grasse and 30 minutes from Cannes. Nice is 45 minutes away. A 15 minute drive gets you to the Lac de Saint Cassien for lakeside activites during the summer. There are many large chain supermarkets to choose from in the local area for all your shopping needs however there are some local alternatives that are a must. Our local butcher, Monsieur Autran is situated in the village of Callian for superb local meat, poultry and charcuterie selections. In the valley below the village is the Marche Paysan for superb organic seasonal fruits and vegetables as well as various other locally made products. Don't miss the superb wines of the region !

During your stay

As we are living overseas, you will be met by our greeter, Bruno, on arrival and departure. He will ensure that the house is in order and will inform you of the operating procedures for the various specificities of the house and pool. If you stay several weeks, Bruno can arrange on request for cleaning staff for a nominal fee. Beyond improving your comfort during your stay, this will also avoid to incur additional cleaning fees at the end of your rental if the house is not returned in good condition.
