Welcome to The Maury River Treehouse. Luxury timber frame cottage sitting on the banks of the Maury River. Construction built almost entirely by local craftsmen this is truly a show stopper. Located a short 9 miles from Lexington, Washington and Lee and Virginia Military Institute. It's a fisherman's friend, paddlers paradise or just a relaxing retreat! The timber frame construction, stone fireplace and gourmet kitchen will take your breath away. You wont want leave!

The space
This cozy cottage has it all. Wait till you wake up in the king size bed push a button and your automatic blackout blinds open to reveal the flowing waters of the Maury River. Walk into the bathroom where you will find a custom walk in shower and heated floors. Brew a cup of coffee and sit on the deck watching the river flow by and deer, foxes, ducks, blue herons, hawks and even a bald eagle enjoy their mornings. Sit on the bank of the river or even in the river if you like, cast a line or get in a kayak. After a day on the river come home and rinse off outside because there is nothing like showering in a outdoor shower looking at the river! Wind-down while you cook dinner and sit by the fireplace. This really is an amazing place!

You have your private slice of Heaven on the river just 9 miles from Lexington. The Virginia Horse Center is a straight shot down Rt. 39. There are multiple vineyards and a brewery just a short country drive away. The river is your backyard so you can fish, swim or paddle around. Goshen Pass is just 5 minutes away and for those that are not familiar with the pass it is a must see even if you just drive through it. Downtown Lexington is filled with great shops, art, dining and bars. Lime Kiln Theater is a must see if you are here during a show (if you want to come for a show we are happy to try and help get tickets as almost every show sells out but we would need to know in advance). We are here to make suggestions on things to do or places to eat....If you ever want to leave the house!

We are a couple that both grew up in Lexington, Va and moved back after college to pursue our careers. One in real estate and the other in nursing. We love our two dogs, maybe a little too much and we love to travel!
