The space
100-Year-Old- Adobe was built in the 1920s. This beautiful home has 2-bedrooms, 1.5 baths, a private enclosed courtyard, and 1 parking space.

Located in the Jose St. Compound, which has been around for a long time, serving as a hippie compound in the 60s and hosting families as early as the 20s.

This is a real Santa Fe adobe, built in the 1920s, with all the soul and history that comes with a house that’s been around for a century. It has 2 bedrooms, 1.5 baths, a private enclosed courtyard, and one parking space, cozy, beautiful, comfortable, and very much not cookie-cutter.

The house sits in the Jose St. Compound, a tucked-away spot that’s been part of Santa Fe history for a long time. Families lived here in the 1920s, and by the 1960s it had evolved into a hippie compound with artists, musicians, kids running around, and doors open. That creative, communal energy that still embraces Santa Fe.

Inside the house, nearly everything has a story. Some pieces are genuinely old - like the master bedroom headboard, estimated to be over 400 years old, and a bedroom bench made from a reclaimed wall in Tibet. The rest has been collected slowly, much of it from local Santa Fe artists. If something catches your eye, don't be afraid to ask -some pieces are for sale, and we're happy to help you track down something similar.

The neighbors are friendly and easygoing, a mix of full-time residents, renters, and part-timers like me. Santa Fe itself is special in a way that’s hard to explain until you’re here -the light, the landscape, the culture... Whether you’re visiting for an art show, a festival, or just to unplug for a few days, this is a great place to do it.

This is my personal home, not a turnover rental, and it means a lot to me. It’s quiet, private, and grounded, exactly what I want when I’m in Santa Fe, and what I hope you’ll feel while you’re here. You’re around the corner from Dolina Cafe and Bakery (a local favorite) and an easy walk to the Plaza, so you can explore without needing to plan too much.

There’s a welcome gift waiting in the fridge, along with a short list of my favorite places to eat, drink, and wander. Make yourself at home, and enjoy Santa Fe!

Guest access
Guests have full access to the 2-bedroom house, including the private courtyard and parking for one vehicle. You’re welcome to relax in the courtyard, enjoy the seating area, and make yourself at home. The house is right next to Dolina Cafe and Bakery, and just a short walk to the plaza, making it easy to explore Santa Fe. We’ll provide instructions for check-in, Wi-Fi, and any other details you need to enjoy your stay.

Other things to note
Please note that the Santa Fe sits at approximately 7,000 feet in elevation. Guests who aren’t used to higher altitude may want to drink plenty of water and take it easy on alcohol during the first day or two. If you’re feeling the effects of altitude, canned oxygen (available at REI and similar outdoor stores) can be helpful.
